My girls will be almost 3 when we go to WDW. They are now sleeping in toddler beds. I don't know if they will be ready to sleep on a regular bed when we go. How did you handle sleeping arrangements for kids that young? Did you move the mattress to the floor? Are there beds with rails available?

Thanks!

when my youngest was 2 1/2 she was already sleeping a regular bed. When we went to Disney there were 5 of us and we were staying at WL (standard room) We put her in a pack and play and she was fine. I was nervous since she had already been out of a crib for 6 months, but she was so tired by the end of the day she didn't care where she went to sleep. I'm pretty sure you can request bed rails from the hotel to put on the regular bed ~ will you have 2 queen beds in your room? Will the girls share a bed? If so, I would request 2 bed rails and just put them on the queen bed and let the girls share the big bed.

I think you can request bed rails. When my DD was 2 1/2 we just pushed the bed into the corner of the wall. She was sleeping with my MIL on that trip, so DD just took the inside of the bed.

We always used bed rails when we traveled. Most "nicer" hotels should have those at your disposal. Your little girls should have no problem...

One hint: Ask for three bed rails, so the foot of the bed is covered too. If yours are anything like mine were, they could sleep all over the bed!

If you're worried about making the bed smaller, you can request a bunch of extra pillows to line the bed rails.

When we went when my DD was 2-1/2 we were able to get bedrails and she slept fine. At home she was still in her crib, so it was a big change for her.

Just call Disney and tell them that you would like to request bed rails and they will have them for you in your room.

I am pretty sure they are free....I have never needed to request one, but when I requested a pack and play, there was no charge.
