Hi. What is your experience with the bed rails at disneyworld hotels. I will be with a one year old who will just be turning one when we get there. Am I better off with the crib/pack and play or the bed rail option. does anyone have any pictures of the bed rails I want to make sure there is no way he can fall off the bed.

actually i am doing some research on my own and i think he will be way to young for a bed rail so I will just stick with a crib

We've gotten the bed rails several times. They have always been the white fabric / mesh ones. Breathable and sturdy. We usually stay in value rooms. We've gotten the pack n play before but it takes up a lot of floor space and kids seem to sleep better in the bed.

How old were you children when you started to use the bed rails??/

The youngest we've used them with was 9 months. But an adult also slept with her and our kids generally have all been good about not trying to get out of bed.

Do the resorts have bed rails? We have a 17m (19m when we go) and she sleeps in the bed especially for naps.

Awesome thank you! We won't need to pack n play but the bed rails will be a nice extra thing to request so I don't have to sit in the room with her while she naps. I can sit in the living room or the balcony

Last september we stayed at GF, I called in a request for them a week before we arrived and also again at check in. They came in about an hour later along with a fan we requested. They are very large and long. We used ours on the pull out sofa for the kids; just kinda placed the arms that come out under the mattress and it stayed put.

The only pic i have is our last day so they are already off the bed, but here they are the floor next to DS.

When we checked into pop I had requested a set of bed Rails but then housekeeping came and said they were out of them :/ she helped me push the bed up against the wall for the night, and said they would bring some in the morning. I was sleeping with the kid anyway so it worked out better to have the bed against the wall so we kept it that way all week. Gave the kids more floor space between the beds too!

This won't work for us though... We are in the villas so she will be sleeping in the king bed with my hubby and I. The bed rails are mainly for naps so I don't have to sit in there with her or when she rolls over top of me to the other side of the bed. I just don't want her to fall off the bed there since the floors are so hard. It hasn't happened yet but there is always a first time and our luck it will be while on vacation.

We are staying at AKL in March and I have requested bunks and I know my older DS will be ok in the top bunk but my younger DS will be in the bottom bunk so I am hoping to get bed rails as well. This is the first time he will be sleeping in a bed on vacation. On previous trips we just brought our pack n play with us. They do take up a TON of space though so I am looking forward to not having to pack any heavy lifting this time, LOL

As a back up, pack swimming noodles in you case, just stick them along the bottom of the case along the wall of it and fill it in with the rest of your stuff. You can slip them under the fitted sheet on each side.

My kids co-slept and I pushed the bed to the wall whenever possible in hotels. So, if there were three of us in the bed, it went baby, me, husband. Of course, that wouldn't work for naps though. Then, I just put a blanket or chair cushion on the floor and the baby slept there.
