Hello, and welcome to my Princess Half Marathon Weekend PTR!princess:

I'm Missy, a 31-year old Disney lover. I work in the banking industry and have been married to my best friend, Mike, for 11 years now.

Pooh is my absolute favorite character. Ariel is my most favorite Princess (cause of her red hair) followed byTiana (cause she's a Southern Belle), and I also happen to favor Lilo and Stitch!

Then there's my DH and best friend, Mike.

Mike is 34 and works for an industrial tire company. His favorite characters are Donald, Pumbaa and Timon. I'm very lucky that Mike likes going to Disney almost as much as I do!!

When not taveling to Disney World, or cruising on Disney Cruise Line, we love visting the beach and the Great Smoky Mountains. We also love spending time with our family. We've been blessed with 8 nieces and nephews that we love as our own, so we always enjoy having fun with them. We don't have any children yet, but we do have 3 precious fur babies that we adore!

Now that you've met the two of us, I'll be back later to tell you all about our plans for out little "budget-minded" weekend trip!

So, I suppose that I should give you the specifics of our trip so that you'll know what you're reading about...

Our dates are Friday, 2/25 to Monday, 2/28. Yep, we leave 2 weeks from today, and I am so very excited!!:dance3: We are booked in a Studio at our home resort-Saratoga Springs, which is the same place we stayed last year--though that wasn't the original plan.

From the moment I crossed the finish line at last year's race, I knew that this was something I wanted to do again. And after Mike saw what an awesome time I had, he was all for us coming back for 2011! So I patiently waited until July when registation finally opened, and I signed-up to do it again that very same day! After I registered, we decided that we'd book a room using the race discount, and decided to go with POR since we'd been wanting to stay there for a while. Well, it turns out that life and bills got in the way, and we had to cancel. For a while, I wasn't sure that we'd be able to go at all, but we were determined and finally decided that if we used our DVC points for the room, that we would somehow make the rest work, even if it meant doing it on a budget.

So, our plans for Friday go a little something like this...
I hope to leave home early enough on Friday morning to be in Disney by noon. I have a friend from here on the DIS that I'm hoping to get to run with, so she and I are planning to meet up at the Expo on Friday, which is where we plan to head as soon as we arrive on property! We don't have any plans for after the Expo, so at some point we'll head over to SSR and get checked-in,and then possibly head over to DTD to look around. As part of keeping things within budget, we plan to eat dinner off property that night. For Christmas, my sister gave Mike and I a gift card to Logan's Roadhouse, which is our very favorite restaurant, and there just happens to be one in Orlando, which I had no idea about until I read about it on someone's TR! When I realized that there was a location there, we decided to save it for the trip, so that would be one less meal that we'd have to pay for our of pocket!

Thank you for writing this! A friend of mine ran this morning and asked I run with her next year! Can't wait to hear more!
