When we became DVC member my wife filled all paperwork and is the only one one the deed. So she was the only one given a DVC members card. At the time I didn't realize the discounts they gave you in golf.( my wife doesn't play). What would be the easiest way to get a member's card in my name? If it can be done at all. Thanks in advance.

It is quite easy...your wife has to call MS and ask that you be added as an Associate Member...it will require a fax back and forth, but that is it. Then you should receive your own card in about 6 weeks.

Hope this helps--

I am down as an associate member on DVC member website. They never sent me a card. Does an associate card entitle you to discounts as same as the member card? ( Food, park admission ,golf)

Associate members do not receive membership cards. The only purpose of an associate member is to have someone else authorized to contact Member Services on your behalf and manage your points.

To get a membership card you will be an owner on the deed. This can be done assuming any loan on those points is paid off. You will still have to contact DVC for a Right of First Refusal release, then draw up and file a new deed.

Thanks for correcting me on this, Chuck...I was given misinformation by someone at MS....

He would need to be a member to get a member card, and the only way to do that is have him added to the deed. THis is not an inconsequencial thing and will incure a cost to you.
