I LOVE the pin bag! Too cool! And my DS would adore all the Star Wars pins. He doesn't really collect anything in particular, but he does love anything Star Wars.

I didn't see anywhere that you had posted your updated trip dates.....still wondering if you will be there when we are (12/8-12/15).

Welcome! Bill loves the Star Wars stuff. We will be in WDW until Dec. 10th.

Last weekend, Bill and I picked up Josh (my son) and his lovely girlfriend Abbey on our way to Indianapolis, IN. We had several things planned for the 2 nights we were going to be there.

- Meeting a friend of Bill’s he hadn’t seen in 17 years
- Meeting up with Jodi and her sweet girls to follow them to Colts football training camp
- Seeing KISS in concert

The drive was very uneventful and we were there when I thought we would be. After we got situated in the room, Bill and I headed for the lobby to wait for his friends. They arrived on time, David, with this wife Ann and their two kids. They were FANTASTIC!! Such wonderful people, David had said he had searched for Bill from time to time and said he would never join facebook, but he found Bill there and the only way to communicate with him was to join so he did it. David and Bill were in college together way back in the day. Four hours went by way too fast. They hope to meet us when we go to Bill’s parents saying they couldn’t wait another 17 years to see him again. Bill was so happy that they came to see us.

The next day we were up bright and early to meet with a fellow Ip Dipper Jodi and her two daughters to follow them to Anderson to see the Indianapolis Colts at their first day of training camp. We got a decent spot, here are some pictures.

The crowd swarmed when he decided to sign autographs so we couldn’t get any closer. Bill was still happy to get to see his fave team at training camp. We walked back, huffing and puffing because it was brutally hot that day. I thought I was the only one having trouble in the heat until I saw poor Abbey, she looked like she was going to pass out. They went ahead of us to the van, the heat got to her.

We got to the van and told Jodi goodbye, we really enjoyed our time with her, me to have someone to talk about WDW to and Bill had someone to talk to the Colts about, she is PERFECT!!

We headed to Ihop and had some yummy food then went back to the hotel. Josh and Abbey went swimming in the pool, they had it to themselves and Bill and I actually took a nap, I think the heat that day, the long drive the day before, and not having much sleep really wore both of us out. When we got up it was time to head to the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds to see KISS.

The opening band was called “The Envy” from Toronto, Gene Simmons signed them to his record label. We liked them and the crowd seemed to as well:

It was horribly hot, with the heat index it was over 100 until the sun went down according to my phone.

Eric Singer the drummer sang Beth, Josh, Abbey and many people in the crowd did this:

I have never seen so much confetti in my life, it shot out the entire time they were singing “Rock and Roll All Night”. It came up into our section and past us:

After they got done singing there was fireworks for about 4 minutes straight, huge loud booming fireworks, they were great!

We got to bed around 2am, we just couldn’t stop talking about the concert. I think Josh had called everyone he knew and declared it to be the “Best Concert Ever”. Bill and I giggled about this because it is the only concert he has ever been to, but it made Bill happy that he had a good time.

We went home the next day, it was a great trip.

I'm not a big KISS fan but WOW! that concert sounded awesome!!! So glad you all enjoyed it and had such a great time.

And how wonderful to meet up with Bill's old friends! 17 years!!! It's amazing how technology can connect us, isn't it?
