Because it just wouldn’t be a party **New 1/17/11 Finally a link to the TR**

I am pretty good at photoshop, I can change the date on her birth certificate?? :rotfl: Does she really pay attention to the calendar? Just tell her that her birthday is the day after you come home and just don't come home until after my birthday :thumbsup2.

I knew I shouldn't have told her how to use a calendar!!

Great Birthday plans Tracy, finishing the day with Wishes should be fantastic :goodvibes

Sorry you have to say goodbye to your friend but better to say goodbye than not have met at all, is that a bit deep? :rotfl:

Hi Jo, I can't get enough of any kinds of Wishes fireworks so this makes me happy. I like your way of thinking about the bright side of things.

I knew I shouldn't have told her how to use a calendar!!

:confused3 Why? Why did you do that??

Anything with Walt makes me all teary eyed. I always get emotional when I see clips of him talking about anything, I know it is silly, but it happens.

This day had some big changes made to it. Originally we had another MVMCP and Wishes Dessert Party planned, but then we were blessed to get 2 of the 200 Magic and Merriment tickets, so we had some decisions to make. I knew even though WDW says “no refunds etc” they will. So we cancelled the dessert party because there are going to be desserts galore during the D23 event. Then we had a quick discussion about the extra MVMCP tickets since D23 had included a MVMCP in with their event, we thought 3 parties was a little too much.

We both decided we should pay it forward and we knew exactly who we were going to play fairy godmother too. I contacted tinker_tam and offered her the tickets. It had really bothered me that her father had offered to buy them MVMCP tickets then backed out of the deal. We wanted their first trip to be as magical as it could be. She accepted the tickets, bought tickets for her kids and now they get to go to the party on the 5th!!!! We are so HAPPY for them :goodvibes!!

Next installment… What is next for Magic and Merriment

I know how you feel about check out day :sad2:. Nothing sadder than that envelope hanging from your door with the check out info. I am so happy you are going to MVMCP, I can't wait to see your pictures from that night!!

I was shocked when it said we got the tickets, I had told myself repeatedly that there was no way we would get lucky enough so when the confirmation popped up, tears started rolling down my face. I will definitely take notes and pictures :thumbsup2.

My MVMCP day is the 5th. We leave on the 10th. :sad1:

Tracy, I'm not happy. Accuweather is showing the first four days that reach into out trip as temps dropping into the low sixties. Wed. the first has a high of only 64 with a low of 42!
Make them stop please. I refuse to bring a winter jacket to Florida.

Nebo, I am mad at them too, they have to change it. Bill has Cerebral Palsy and is cold all the time, he loves going to Florida because he can actually wear a tee shirt every once in a while. His teeth will be chattering.

Also, I know you are flying this trip, but I loved reading about the times you drove because you went down 57, which is very close to us. We live in Carbondale, IL which is about 20 miles west of Marion, IL which is right by 57.

Hey Tracy! Getting all caught up. I have been working like crazy lately and don't get home from work til late and if I come on here I will never get to bed. Anyways CONGRATS on getting the D23 membership and Magic and Merriment tickets!!!! The plans for that look amazing and wicked cool. I can't wait to see you pictures and read all about it.

It is also sweet of you to give you MVMCP tickets to TinkerTam! If I miss you before you go b/c work for the nest 2 wks is crazy also...I want to wish you the best trip ever!

Hi!! I am starting to get nervous, we are so close. Bill and I wanted to pay it forward and spread some pixie dust. Tammy is a fantastic Mommy and we wanted to give her something extra to smile about.

Take care of yourself and don't work too hard.

 That makes me cry every time I read that. I am so happy it gives him comfort to know he is going to that party.

Today is the official beginning of Magic and Merriment and we can’t wait. It really does seem like we received pixie dust the day we bought the tickets. Here is what the D23 website says we have in store for us that day:

Taken from the D23 website: On Saturday morning, December 11, you'll enjoy hot holiday cider, flavored coffees and scrumptious Christmas Stollen inside the Odyssey Center at Epcot, where guests will be greeted by members of the D23 Team and some holiday surprises. Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton will be on hand to welcome guests and share some stories of the magic of the Resort at the most happiest time of the year. Chefs Erich Herbitschek and Stefan Reimer return to Magic and Merriment for another hilarious — and delicious! — baking demonstration sure to tempt your taste buds. You'll then be invited to spend the afternoon enjoying the holiday splendor of Epcot at your own pace before re-joining the group at the America Gardens Theatre as the sun begins to set.

As you nestle into your reserved seat, sit back, snuggle up and delight in the warm embrace of Walt Disney World's perennial Christmas favorite, Candlelight Processional. This time-honored tradition of classic carols and hymns sung by a choir of hundreds will be narrated by Disney and ABC star Whoopi Goldberg (The View, The Lion King). Following this special performance, you will be transported to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a sumptuous holiday feast on the incredible set of the Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular. After the park closes, you'll head over to New York Street for a private viewing of The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights during a special presentation hosted by Walt Disney Entertainment's John Phelan.

The official itinerary that we were sent says:

Saturday December 11

8:30am: Late Registration and Cinderella Castle Suite tour sign-ups at Odyssey Center
8:45am–11:00am: Presentations at Odyssey Center
11:00am-5:00pm: Enjoy Holidays Around the World at World Showcase
4:30pm: Arrive at American Gardens Theater for seating
5:00pm-5:45pm: Reserved Seating for Candlelight Processional
6:15pm: Board a private Motor Coach and travel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
7:00pm-9:00pm: Dinner and dessert at Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular Theater
9:00pm-9:30pm: Private viewing of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on the Streets of America with presentation from John Phelan
9:45pm: Motor Coach returns guests to Epcot

I am hoping most of the crowds will still be in Epcot watching Illuminations when we go to the bus stop.

The things we look forward to on this day is meeting other D23 members, the “holiday surprises”, getting seating to see Whoopi Goldberg do the Candlelight Processional, and the dinner on the Indiana Jones set (Bill will be in HEAVEN). The thing we talk about all the time is getting to see the Osborne Lights with just D23 members on the street. I can’t imagine getting to see it without hundreds and hundreds of people crammed together, it will be amazing.

Next up… our last full day in WDW

 That makes me cry every time I read that. I am so happy it gives him comfort to know he is going to that party.

He is getting so into the trip now that he is starting to feel better from the Botox. Both Gavin and Brenda ask each night if we can read from the Disney book. Future trip planners in the making! :rotfl2:

Brenda asked me if the hot chocolate we get at the party would taste like the hot chocolate we have at the house. I smiled and told her "I am sure everything tastes better at Disney!" :rotfl:

The Magic and Merriment event looks fabulous! I am so glad you and Bill were able to get tickets! Not only did I get amazing Pixie Dust from it but I will get to see the pictures too when you do your TR!!!

Sounds like an amazing day to me!! :cloud9:

Oh, except for the part where I am not there too... :sad1:

I love that they want to hear Disney stories!! I don't know if it tastes better, but she can see the Castle while she drinks it :rotfl:. I hope I get some good pictures from M&M.

Wow Tracy - That's is going to be so amazing!!! :goodvibes

Amy I am still in shock over actually getting the tickets to it. It doesn't seem real to me. It seems like forever since we have been to WDW I can't wait to get back.
