Actually, here in Canada (the actual country) Beaver Tails are served both savory and sweet, not just with the 3 toppings that were mentioned above. Some are sprinkled with cheeses, herbs, garlic etc, while others are coated in sugar, cinnamon, chocolate etc etc. There's a long list of available toppings.
