'Beauty and the Beast'-Inspired Red Rose Taverne

GF options were:
The Beast
Cheeseburger
Cheese Pizza
Chef's Chopped Salad
Cauliflower Sandwich

With Power Pack, turkey sandwich and hamburger on the kid's GF menu.

I have a pict of the entire allergy menu, but don't know how to post it here...

Thank you! Wish they would do the poutine gf.

Has anyone been able to score a rose mug that was being sold? I was there this weekend and the line was super long and they were sold out of mugs

+1 for the above question regarding the rose mug! I NEED that mug! :)

By the way, did anyone catch how much it was? I thought I saw the souvenir mug priced at $12.99 on the menu, but wasn't sure if that was the rose mug or not.

So bummed that they were sold out of the rose cups when we went yesterday :( We were able to try the grey stuff though, which was everything I hoped it would be! We also really enjoyed the cauliflower sandwich, lemon rose cake, and gaston's brew, all of which were yummy. I'd love the grey stuff to find a permanent home in Disneyland! And maybe the cauliflower sandwich too- it's a great, different vegetarian option.

I wish they'd bring back the original version of the fried green tomato sandwich too.

They're still sold out of the red rose cups.

And yes, I think $12.99 is the price for that.
It's $14.99. Is it actually coming back in stock and selling out again, or has it just been sold out this whole time? I thought they didn't get any more after the initial sell out.

The original version wasn't vegetarian, they tweaked it later.

Oh really? I thought it came to $11something with the AP discount, but I haven't really paid close attention because I'm not trying to get one. From what I understand the first round of them sold out, and they are waiting for a restock which should be in 3ish weeks. Of course, not sure how accurate that will be.

Well the version I had in Critter Country a few years ago was vegetarian. The more expensive version sold elsewhere now is not the exact same sandwich. Really I just want them to bring it back to counter service.

For the first several years it was on the menu the sauce contained fish sauce. Disney changed it when they got complaints. The cheese and broccoli soup at Harbour Galley and Pacific Wharf still contain chicken broth. I don't think all of the CMs who take orders even realize it. If I recall, there was some confusion initially about the FGT sandwich too. But if you had it before 2014 or so, it likely contained fish.

Bummer about the soup. How hard is it really to just use some vegetable broth instead of chicken broth?

Update for GlutenFree: we went there last week. We really liked the decor, even though the Pinnochio design was good. We sat underneath the painting of Gaston, so that was cool. My wife and I had the Beast Burger (Beastly?). She had it on a GF bun. Unless you like tasting onions all night and into the next morning, I'd say hold off on those. But the beff and the whatever-meat they put on it was tastly.

Unfortunately, they were ALL OUT of desserts. This was the theme of our trip. If they had something new or for AP holders, they were all out at Disneyland. So we were really upset to not even get to try it, much less ask if there were any GF offerings.

We were at DL on Saturday. We checked the tavern line about 10:30 and it went out the entrance, all around the eating area and was starting to impede on the exit for Peter Pan. We passed and checked back later. At around 4:30 I guess it was, the line ending was about half way between the entrance doors and the gate to the eating area, much better. We tried the poutine and the grey stuff, sold out of the rose cakes. The poutine was great, much better than I expected. The grey stuff was really good but we probably could have used another person to split with, half was still a bit of a sugar overload.
