WOW!!!

I started listening to the Beatles way back in 1963. When I was 7 my brother, coming home from the Navy on leave, brought the first album of the Beatles home. The album was Please Please Me and I was hooked forever. I through the years bought all there albums. And had many stolen. A few years ago I bought some remastered CDs. Then last year I heard they were re-mastering all of the Beatles albums! What joy.
So of course I pre-ordered this from Amazon (my favorite book store). The set arrived Thursday when I was at work. As soon as I walked in the door at 8:00 p.m. the music started, WOW!!!!!

Incredible! Fabulous! I have just finished listening to them all. Yeah baby all of them.
My music system is incredible so of course the CDs sound great.
The white album sounds better then ever. And Sgt. Peppers?
I'm listening to Help right now. So good.
What else can I say about the greatest rock band in history!

I'm so happy. Bless you George, John, Paul, and Ringo for giving so much pleasure in my life.

I'm considering buying this as a Christmas present for DH. Glad you're enjoying it. We're huge Beatles fans, too. Was it expensive?

I have been a Beatles fan since I was a small child. I was influenced by the older kids across the street. When I was 6, my mom took me to Olympia Stadium in Detroit for their 1964 concert. She bought all my albums at Korvettes department store, and I used to sit next to the Hi Fi and cry because I "loved" Paul so much.. (Somehow without all the cracks and popping from a scratched LP, the nostalgia is lost on a CD!) Now my 16 year old niece is crazy about them, and I couldn't be more proud!

I am thinking of this for my DH, another diehard fan.

I've been reading a little about the Beatles remastered and it seems you can get it in either mono or stereo and alot of the reviews say that mono is better.

Got both boxes and Rock Band on 9/9/09 They did an excellent job with the sound and packaging on these. You can also purchase the stereo versions individually if you'd like to cherry pick rather than buyt the box.

The mono box is supposedly a limited edition and those versions cannont be purchased separately.

Mono sound is also excellent for the most part. I wouldn't say the remastered monos are streets ahead of the 87 releases for the first 4 albums.

However, if you are a true fan, the mono mixes of Sgt Pepper and the White Album are a MUST. It's also nice to have those mono mixes of the UK singles that are on PastMasters--Paperback Writer, Revolution--this is how they were meant to heard. Of course, you'll have to buy the entire box as the mono titiles aren't available seperately--at least for now.

They are saying the mono box is a limited release. If that's true, buy the mono box while you can. The stereo versions will be available indefinitely,and you can select indivdual titles if you prefer.

BTW, the artwork for the sleeves in the mono box is immaculate.
