Well this is the start of a GREAT summer...and the beginning to a wonderful time at Disney!
Im Julia..or other wise known as Jewjubean on the disboards, or Bean in chat.

I’m currently working for a local restaurant as the Training Coordinator/Server. I’ve been to Disney almost 5 times and twice in the past year. This fall I’m going to be a merchandise Cast Member at WDW thanks to the Career Start Program. But this isnt about my AWESOME internship this is about my SOLO trip to the world this next month.

Now before I realized I got the internship I was feeling the Disney blues so I decided to take my income tax money and plan a trip. Well I knew I wanted to take a trip so I called up and asked that famous Disboards line....”Do I have a pincode attached to my name??”.Well thank the lord I got a great CM that said “Well you sure do........It’s a pretty good one”. Now I’m going YAY maybe free dining. Yay Maybe 40% off. And he goes...Kids eat free... Darn the luck...Im solo no kids....






HAHA just kidding He says “ You got the free $500 gift card”. WOOH thats just what I needed. Book that trip baby! So I’ve got a trip May 10th thru the 15th. I decided to add the dining plan because I love it so much!

So the plans are right now:

FREE $500 Gift Card

My Flights out of Southwest total $190
So I got a pretty good deal if ya ask me!

I'm hoping my trip takes forever to get through.
Well lets talk about my plans for the days I'm there.​

Sunday 10th.- New Orleans/MCO/Magic Kingdom
This day Im playing it by ear.I arrive in MCO at 1:45 so I'm estimating I will get to Pop Century around 3 or 4. I've got a Reservation at Chef Mickeys at 8:05 so I'm planning on going to Magic Kingdom for a couple hours before and then hop over to Chef Mickeys for supper and to watch the fireworks from the either the Contemporary/Poly.

Hey Shocker..thanks for stopping by! I am excited that I decided to do this PTR..Even if no one but you guys read it, it will be a great way for ya'll to see my pictures, and I wont have to explain everything during chat other than I had a great time! I'm thinking of canceling Coral Reef. I've got two ADR's that day and im hoping to spend at least a half of a day at DTD and that would be my day :S No idea though I might wait till I get there and see.

AMEN to that, but don't let Wigd. read that Shocker said it!!!!!! LOL Have you seen her list of ADR's???? Goodness, poor old Shocker is going to be going from ONE TS to the next and poor Baylor won't have hardly anytime at all to enjoy the parks!!!!!!! (you know, I noticed he also said he would love to be down there when you are...........I don't think it would be hard for Wigd. to talk him into moving there.........I mean they are there a lot already!!)

HS, does have some pretty good CS. The only one that I wasn't impressed with there was the ABC commissary. Could have just been a wrong time to eat there, I wasn't really hungry, but the food didn't make me that way either!! LOL I loved the Backlot Express place though. The Studio Catering Company was good too. Yes, we were at HS several times during our stay, it turned out to be where the girl's favorite rides were (TOT and RnRC). I have also heard that the Pizza Place is great there, though we didn't try it ourselves??

Great pictures by the way........I just love that angle with the Gulls at the Seas!! I saw it somewhere before we left here (while I was surfing some of the craft boards here on the Dis) and you get some great ideas for your own trip!! I did anyway!!

I love me some counter service also! I was seriously debating just doing the QSDP but decided that for only $50 more to just get the TS.

Thanks for the comment about the pictures. I took enough when I was there and enjoy it so much. I am looking forward to taking pictures this trip.

Cannot wait till I get to spend that GC!!

I Was thinking about that for breakfast on Monday.. Although I usually have Parfaits in the morning for breakfast I think I might make a exception for disney!

Can you use a snack credit from Starring Rolls for breakfast?? If you can (I really don't know???), I would suggest that you go to the BackLot for dinner if you are still at HS that day, as you are planning, especially if you are thirsty........here's why....the scenery gives you something to look at while you eat (old movie props--the old toon town car from Roger Rabbit is there, etc., you can either eat in the courtyard or inside the warehouse), the food was decent (I had a pretty good salad when we ate there) and if you are thirsty.......it's the only CS that I remember that they give you the cup and you fill it yourself at the dispensing station, so a good place to get plenty of liquid without using up your Snack Credits!! I had the chicken at Studio Catering Co. and it was good too. Of course, again I hear a lot of good things about the Pizza Place too (was even asked by one lady here in town if we had tried it after we got back), but we hadn't?? You may pop your head in there while touring the park, if you like pizza and see if that might fit your dinner thoughts better??

Also, I know you have been much more than I and I hope it's not as crowded for you when you go as it was when we were there.........but I did learn that going a little early (you may prefer late) to the CS places saved us a lot of misery and "time". We would go get our lunch a little before 11, just before the "rush" and would be sitting down at any table we preferred and watch the CROWDS come in!!!! Then as the place would completely fill up, we would be kind and get up to give our table to somebody that was walking around looking for an empty one and smile as we went out to ride while everyone else was eating!!!! Same with Dinner, just go in ahead of the crowd, no waiting to place your order and while everybody else is eating you can enjoy the park!!!!

P.S. I vote for CHEESECAKE for breakfast instead of Parfaits!! LOL

I think it is a snack credit at Starring Rolls, and I vote for the Chocolate Croissant.....
although I agree with BD, cheesecake for breakfast is way better than parfait.

Bean I am sooo happy for your CP selection and assignment! And as you know I think you've more than earned a trip to see the Big Cheese, enjoy.

On your Epcot day, breakfast at Pop or snack credit spent in France, hmmm! Also if you decide on a real bfast you can get that at Sunshine Seasons too. Its one of the few park CS places that serves bfast. Or as Shocker suggests, you could always use a snack credit for school bread.

Thanks for the help with the breakfast items. I've got 15 days togo and I'm already thinking breakfast items.
Sadly no cheesecake, as much as I LOVE cheesecake no cheesecake for breakfast for me. I think I would eat too much and not feel well the rest of the day.
Sept thanks for the congratulations, I really feel lucky to be given this opportunitry to have the time of my life, its going to be a weird and crazy time! But it should be a good time with great discounts

Sorry guys for taking sooo long to update. Its been a pretty crazy week at work getting ready for my week off. Its almost more work to leave for a week than it is to actually take and plan the vacation!

I've pretty much been packed for a couple weeks now, Mostly things that I already had and bought some new things.
I got my Disney Documents a couple weeks ago...isnt that the greatest feeling ever to come home and have disney waiting in your mailbox!

Here are some of the things I've bought over the last couple weeks,
the black thing is a REALLYYYYY cool little thing I found at Wal-Mart for 5 bucks. I was pretty excited. Im also excited about the Hidden Mickey book. I've always wanted to take pictures of all the hidden mickeys!!!
So that is my quest on this trip to take pictures of a Hidden Mickeys!
