So, DD8 wants a beanbag chair for her birthday from pottery barn teen. the cover is $59 which I don't have a problem with. However the insert is $129! Not sure what thats made of, but I don't plan on spending over $200. So I had this bright idea that maybe I could get the insert from somewhere else, or even attempt to make one myself? its a 41" insert. Any suggestions? Do you think it would be too much work to do on my own? I looked at other places for beanbag chairs but she wants something bright and colorful and polka dot, not just a plain color which most are. Thanks for any help!

Walmart generally carries bean bag chairs, especially this time of year. We got some there several years ago for DD's room. They have a vinyl covering and foam beans inside. They were about $20. I know you can get kits to make bean bags at various craft stores like Michaels.

Lands End has some great Bean Bags. The insert and cover are $130 (total, including a $5 each discount for buying both at the same time).

My kids have had their Junior-sized Lands End bean bags for 2.5 years now and they are still going strong... and that includes having been jumped on, thrown, etc... They are totally worth the money!!! Now, both kids are asking for the larger size bean bags for this Christmas. Only downside is DH will want one too.
