Can someone tell me about Beaches & Cream?

I've never been there. Can you walk there from BWI to BC or boat it?

Can you make an ADR? I thought you could not. :confused3

How's the food? :)

Thanks!
Sheri

No idea about the ADR. I walked in there once and they wouldn't even let me wait, just "we're full." If you can make an ADR, make one.

I've eaten there. Love the No Way Jose sundae and the raspberry coke.

I'd walk from the Boardwalk, go toward Epcot and just keep going around to the Beach Club.

I'll see about ADR. Is that 90 days out?

We're not big into planning, but the menu looks yummy. :)

Sheri, they do NOT take ADRs. Strictly walk-up or take-out. You can easily walk there from any of the Epcot Resorts, or from Epcot itself. It's a slightly longer walk from the Studios, or you can take a boat from the Studios.

no resses accepted here. you put your name in and wait--and wait-and wait.
the shakes and burgers are great. sundaes are really good. ate there 3 times this vaca. it helps when staying at bcv.

Excellent food but very popular. We wanted to do a sit down lunch on 12 Aug and it was packed with a 30 minute wait (I believe there are only three booths and a few other tables plus counter stools). There was a lineup for takeout as well so we went over to Tubbies at the Dolphin. The hostess advised us that the best time to eat was after 3 pm when the afternoon pool crowds thined out which seemed to be the case as we had no problems getting a booth twice during dinner. The burgers and onion rings are awsome and their shakes are super thick and delicious!!!! Makes staying at the Beach Club worth the extra dollars!

Yummy yummy yummy sundaes!!! Oh, did I mention they were yummy?

This is a MUST for our family. We go at off times and rarely have the big wait BnC is famous for. The No Way Jose is fantastic! You can keep the Kitchen Sink, though. Our family of 5 thought it was gross by the time we got about half way through it. We just drive to the Yacht or Beach Club.

Oooh...I absolutely LOVE Beaches and Cream :goodvibes :goodvibes
My fam. and I went there for our first time a few years ago for my birthday, and it was wonderful. The food is excellent (mostly consists of ham and cheeseburgers, fries, etc...), and they have a lot of sundaes and milkshakes, too

Sorry I wasn't impressed with it. I had heard on here how great the burgers were and since I have a burger loving son and GD took them there on our first day at WDW last January. We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. We finally got seated at a very small table and ordered our burgers. I had told them they were the best burgers on property. Imagine the look on their faces when we got processed burgers about like our local Dairy Queen. I then surprised them by catching the waitress and ordering the Kitchen Sink. Again a bomb. They both thought it was gross. We did get some cute pictures with it though.

I went back solo in May and decided to give B&C another chance, since I was staying at the BWV. Again I got a Dairy Queen hamburger. I finally asked the waitress about it and she said that they often run out of burgers and then borrow some preformed patties from Hurricane Hannahs and apparently I got Hurricane Hannah burgers both times I've been there.

I'm going back to WDW next month and my D-I-L wants a picture of her and my son with the Kitchen Sink (even though both my other son and GD have told her how bad it was). So we are going back. All we are getting though is the Kitchen Sink.

A tip for getting in: when I went last fall with my best girlfriend, we would get up and eat just a very light breakfast (fruit or granola bar or something) and then arrive at our preferred lunch place at 11:30am spot on. We were the first into Beaches and Cream, and the second or third into the Plaza, etc.

I went last October and told my parents about the "best burgers" I had heard about. We too got processed burgers. The banana split we shared was ok, but the ice cream at Ghiardelli's is much better!

Well, we've tried tried to eat at BandC twice now. Once for lunch but the wait was about an hour and this was at 2ish. And then another time dd and I waited 30 minutes to get ice cream cones. Way too small. I can't imagine there is anything there good enough for me to wait an hour for. When we stayed at BCV in June, BandC was always packed. I don't think there was a time we went by that there weren't a ton of people waiting to get in. Dh did suggest we stop by one night at 9ish...I don't eat that late!! But, we could have gotten in most likely!!

Is there any tip for getting a real burger?

I can't stomach processed burgers. :(

I was told by the waitress that they use Hurricane Hannahs 'processed' burgers anytime they run out of theirs. Again I've been there twice and gotten 'processed' burgers both times. I went the first time for lunch and the second time for dinner. :confused3

We were not impressed with this place either. From the crowds, I would have thought it was REALLY good. Their ice cream wasn't bad, but I thought their burgers were over priced and not so great. But, that's just my opinion! :)

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch during our trip last Feburary (the "slow" season) and could only get seats at the counter. However, the sandwiches were pretty good, the atmosphere and service were great, and the ice cream even better! Definitely worth the wait!

Sheri, if you want real food instead of the burgers, I suggest the roast beef sub sandwich. This replaced the prime rib sub, but it's so much better. They give you au jus to dip it in and the roast beef is very tender.

Another thing about their ice creams - they use Edy's brand, just to let you know.

If you all the tables and booths are filled up, try asking for a counter seat. It's really fun to sit at the counter and watch them make the kitchen sink.

So true about the Edy's brand. I noticed that in June when my dd just fell in love with the chocolate ice cream there. Now, that's what I buy for her at home and she is very happy!!

I love counter seats in diners. :)

That roast beef sub is making my mouth water just thinking about it...
