So I've been reading/drooling over the post that asks people to share their disney food pics. Now I'm starving. We leave on Monday and we have a couple of "openings" for lunch/dinner. I'm checking out Beaches and Cream. The desserts look amazing...how is the rest of the food? Also..the location of Beaches and Cream...it's located at the Boardwalk..right? How would we get there from POFQ? Or would it be best to go their after Our night at EPCOT?

Thanks~

I enjoy the burgers and onion rings. I know others may disagree but we've never had a bad meal there. Remember to save room for dessert.
To get there from Port Orleans, take the bus to MGM and the boat to the Yacht Club. It's a short walking distance from the Yacht Club's dock. :)

The sandwiches at Beaches & Cream (burgers, etc.) are pretty good! What I especially like is that you can substitute your fries with fruit in season (currently cantaloupe, honeydew & grapes!). Yummy! And, yes, the ice cream desserts are FABULOUS! :goodvibes

Yes, Beaches and Cream is GREAT! But after Epcot closes, alot of other people think it's great, too! A CM there once told me, "I think they race each other over here to see who can get here soonest." I made the mistake of going there after Epcot one night-40 minute wait! However, there's never been a wait in the late afternoon (3-5).

It's not on the Boardwalk, though, it's at the Beach Club by Stormalong Bay. We were there last year. I would call the food average.

We just ate there Wednesday. I think the burgers are average--not much different than the burgers at counter service in the parks. I really like the onion rings and ice cream, though.

The burgers are a good size and decent price I think. And the onion rings... yummy... Chicken noodles soup is also excellent. When I got sick at WDW once all I wanted to eat was B&C chicken soup. It's kinda expensive (the soup) but sooo yummy...

I saw a pic of the cheese steak or something like that someone posted. I think I'm going to try that next time. And if you like to watch them prepare your food, sit at the counter. I've done that a couple of times and always had fun... Especially watching them make all the deserts... that way you can decide which one you want while you're eating your dinner... LOL!!! :)

Oh yeah like Simba's mom said, it does get really crowded during meal times. Try to hit it off time and you'll be fine.

We also like their food. Not fancy fare by any sense of the word, but good old fashioned soda shop burgers, fries and ice cream. We had the cheesesteak sub that cseca mentioned and shared it along with fries and the no way jose dessert. It was all so good, and our server, Brian, was great! We shared and he brought everything out on two plates for us :)

We spent the morning in Epcot, ate lunch, walked around 1/2 of the world showcase, then walked over to B&C for dinner around 5:30ish. Then we walked back to Epcot for the rest of the world showcase and Illuminations and then took the bus back to Pop Century. If you want to go to B & C on a non Epcot day, I would suggest what Dana49 did, and take the bus to MGM and then the boat to Epcot. I think that's much easier than taking the bus to Epcot and walking to the back of the park. Or, since you're staying at POFQ, you could take the boat to DTD and then the bus from DTD to the Beach Club.

I think Beaches and Cream has the BEST ice cream sundaes in all of Disney World! When we come home from Disney I cannot even eat Friendly's sundaes for a few months, there is no comparison. We love the 'No Way Jose' Sundae which is huge - more than enough for 2 people.

Best burgers and onion rings!

I also love their chicken noodle soup. Really hits the spot.

I like all of their food, but you can't get any better desserts than what they serve. Their portions are also large enough for 2 to split. Debby

I always have to order the Lime Rickey drink here to go with my lunch. Not too many places sell this, and it is a tasty concoction! princess: pirate: :earboy2:

Do you need a PS for B&C?

Is this where the "kitchen sink" can be ordered? Is that too much for a family of 4, all not too big of eaters?

I don't think there's a PS for B&C, someone posted they tried and the dining says no. We always just walked over during off time and get seated just fine.

Yep that's where the famous Kitchen Sink can be ordered. For 4 people with big appetite I'm sure you'll be fine. But if not so big appetite I think you will have some leftovers. Someone has posted a picture of it on the board. Try to search for it, it'll give you a better idea on portion size.

Oh and if you do get it, don't forget to post how you all did... :)

It's fun to watch people try to finish it... hehe...

We love Beaches and Cream!! Make sure to arrive for lunch a little before it opens at 11:30 or for an early dinner around 5pm. They are very crowded around peak lunch/dinner hours.

Our kids' only wish last year was to have a Kitchen Sink. So we gave in -- it was probably the only time I will ever tell the kids to not eat all their dinner so they can save room for dessert! :rotfl: We bravely got through about two thirds of it before severe melting ensued. We also got great "before" and "after" photos for our album. DS11 and DD9 still talk about it!

We are on Disney dining plan. All Ears website says they are cs, but Disney's website says table service. Just wondering what others on the plan have done?

Everything that I have ever used has considered them to be a table service... :confused3

can you get there without being in one of the parks.....thinking of doing CS on a non-disney park day there.

Yes, depending on where you're staying the route may be different. For most resorts you would take the bus to MGM and then take the boat to the Yacht & Beach Club stop.
