We are staying at the CBR and I keep hearing about how good the burgers and ice cream at Beaches and Cream are.

Is it worth it if you are not staying at the BC?

Sure! You could work it into a visit at EPCOT if you wanted. When it comes time for lunch (or dinner if you prefer) just head out the IG and over to the BC. If you don't know where it is, it's tricky to find. Enter the hotel from the left (side, not main) entry as you approach the place from the IG (you've got Stormalong bay on your left). Follow the hallway (Cape May on your right) to the next exit door (Ariel's will be directly in front of you). Exit and head right. Walk along the concrete walkway until you come to Beaches and Cream on your right.

Enjoy!

Oh ya it is a great place to go. Expecially if the crouds are large at MGM or EPCOT. You can just escape from there and go over for a Sunshine Dream or a Kitchen Sink and some 50's music. Totally a good place to go.

The burgers are good there, the ice cream and all variations of ice cream is great, the only downfall is it is a small place and unless you time it right, you always have a wait. Burgers are also very good at Tubbi's, which is now called, I believe, Picabu. Also Picabu is open 24 hours a day; seven days a week, Picabu is located in the Dolphin wing, and also offers a 24-hour sundries shop that includes toiletries, magazines, snacks and gifts.

:teeth: DEFINITELY! Beaches & Cream is definitely on our must-see list and is one of our favorite places! And I agree with the above poster, it's always easy to work it into an Epcot day.

Mmmmm...My favorite sundea at Beaches & Cream. Had one this past weekend, as a matter of fact. Nothing better than chocolate and peanut butter!

The burgers are awesome, as are the hot dogs and o-rings.

Definitely worth a trip over.

I started a thread on best burgers in the world (DS is a big fan of cheeseburgers). Beaches and Cream was one of the top vote getters. On my solo trip last week, I decided to scope it out. Since I had heard that the food at MGM was not much to write home about, I decided to go to Beaches and Cream on my MGM day. I had a decent breakfast, and left MGM around 3PM to head over to eat at Beaches and Cream. No wait for a table at that time of day. I had a cheeseburger--could not finish it, could not even imagine ordering a double! It was a good burger. I know my DS will love it when we go next year. :thumbsup2

YES!!!!

And I second the No Way Jose! It's worth it going to Florida from Ontario for that! :rotfl:

Where do you park if you are visiting Beaches and Cream? In our two trips to WDW in recent years, I have had Beaches and Cream and Spoodles on a list of Things We Would Like to Do but both trips we were too busy to make it over to that part of the world. On our May 2007 trip I am sure they will be on that list again!!! :goodvibes

Well, they are burgers after all. I don't find them to be anything out of the ordinary unless you're comparing them to the standard "Disney burger". But you can find burgers of the same quality at any decent restaurant ( non fast-food ) in your own hometown, I would imagine.

Still, if satisfying that burger jones is at the top of your priority list, B&C is probably worth a trip. It's extremely small ( and cramped ) and wait times can be long at busy times of the day. But they do have better burgers than the Disney CS restaurants.

If you're visiting Epcot, you can walk over to B&C from the International Gateway. Then you don't have to worry about parking.

Tie it into your Epcot visit. It's a short, maybe 8 minute walk from the International Gateway.
I have yet to find a time when the wait wasn't over 25 minutes. So, we no longer try. However, my dd did see that they use Edy's ice cream, now that's all she will eat!!!

Well, I guess I'll be the bearer of bad tidings on Beaches N Cream. I too had heard they had some of the best burgers, so decided to try lunch this time instead of ice cream. Sorry to say after an extremely long wait this was one of the worst burgers I have ever had in my life. I could not eat this overpriced burger because it tasted so bad. It tasted like cheap old meat. I was so surprised. The only thing worse than my burger was the "service" from our terrible server. She goes down in history as one of the rudest servers I have ever encountered anywhere. We left there quite shocked. This isn't the first time I have posted about this experience and I usually find some DIS'ers who reply with things like, "I think we had the same server." The other servers I saw were so nice to their customers. Ours made us feel so not worth her time. I will not let that bad experience ruin my feelings toward Beaches, though, I just won't ever make the mistake of eating anything there but take-out ice cream only.

Not sure about the burgers but the ice cream is awesome. Definitely worth your time. 2 complaints about B&C however: 1. It is way too small...Disney probably had no idea how popular this place would become when they designed it. The smallness contributes to it's charm but not when you're the ones waiting outside. 2. Parking at the Y&B Club is a pain in the butt... found this to be true of the BW also. Maybe I was doing something wrong but it seemed like if you did not utilize the valet parking there were approximately 20 spots available to park in. Guess I'm just a hick!

Poeple are saying work it into an Epcot day, but actually I'd work it into a non-park day. Park at the Yacht Club and walk over and don't forget to order a KITCHEN SINK!!!! ding ding ding ding
