Beaches and Cream is TS?

My adult daughter is determined that we will have a Kitchen Sink from Beaches and Cream on our December trip this year. I didn't book anything for there because I thought it was counter service. Looking through MDE and I see it's table service and I can't seem to get a table reserved for the whole week that we're there! Any ideas, thoughts or recommendations?

I think reservations are recommended, but not absolutely necessary. They also have a walk-up counter.

You can try getting seats at the counter, if you don't mind sitting side by side (tricky with a shared dessert). The counter is held for walk-ups. There's no guarantee though- when it gets really back-logged, they'll just tell you to come back some other time.

Aside from monitoring the MDE yourself to see if anything opens up - You might want to try a dining reservation service which will monitor for you. These charge a fee and will notify you if a reservation comes available (then you have to jump on your computer and make the reservation yourself) Do a google search for "disney dining ADR help"

Good Luck!

We aren't going until next May, but we were surprised it was TS too. We just want to go for the kitchen sink, so it's hard to decide when to fit it in. We figure our first afternoon we're going to DTD for lunch, so we may just make an ADR between 5-6 for dessert. Hope you find an ADR that fits you well.

Counter is probably not an option. We're going to be a group of six, 3 adults and three littles. Any idea what the fee is for the reservation service Skywise?

The service I used wanted $10 per reservation monitor. I used it for Beaches and Cream last trip but never got an opening for it - but that was because I was looking for lunch for one particular day. If you set it out for something like lunch over the entire week I think you'll have good luck. Otherwise I've used it for other reservations and it's worked pretty well.

We were there last week. It is very hard to get. I would plan on doing it at the 180 day mark. We had it booked once and then wanted the kitchen sink. We were able to get it the day before. Do not count on walking up during summer months. It is very small inside.

I used one of the watcher services on my trip in May, and there were a number of cancellations in the 48 hours before the day we wanted to go. I was able to snag a reservation while in line for Test Track the day before. The restaurant itself is just really small - there aren't a lot of tables available, so reservations are hard to get.

When are you going? I just saw one for 11:20 AM on 10/11 --- opps was trying to get you the info in a timely manner and went back and saw you said december. Also keep in mind that for a party of 6 you will need two tables. the largest tables they have seat 4 so it will look to seat your party at two tables.

We're going in December, so it's way past our 180 day mark and at 180 days I didn't know it was TS. I was looking to add it to the day that we'll be exploring resorts and their Christmas decorations. We have dinner reservations that day at Cape May, so we'd already be there.

Yes, it is a TS. Not only that, it is an extremely small TS. This restaurant has only 3 large booths and about 7 or 8 tables for four (which might be pushed together for larger parties) plus the counter seating. It has always been a TS but has only taken ADRs for about a year and a half. I would guess that if you don't have a reservation you may have issues getting in, especially at peak mealtimes.

Your only options are to keep checking or use a reservation searching service. You might end up having to split the party for ADR (4 and 2 or 3 and 3)

Yes TS, and being a 'very' small dining area it is unlikely (but not impossible) to get a ressie at this time. Walk ups are most times available for one or two, but not for a group as it's at the counter only. The tables are small, and for a group they put two tables together - when possible. The food is basically sandwich fare, and definitely nothing special, but we always go for the ice cream (sundaes and banana splits). The Kitchen Sink would definitely need a table.

Highly unlikely to plan on a group that large getting a ressie from a cancellation, but keep checking back - pixiedust: can happen! :-)

I have a question regarding seating/size. There will be 5 of us. 4 adults (all bigger, one who probably can't fit in a booth) and a child. Don't know how big the tables are, but putting a chair up may not be comfortable either. Will that be an issue?

The tables are small, the kind that are typically found in an ice cream parlor, and only fit four people. You would not be able to fit five people at one of them. But if you can get a reservation for five then I suppose they would accommodate your party. :)

As another poster mentioned you can try splitting up your party and getting overlapping times. We went about 2 years ago before you had to make reservations for a party of 8 with my aunt and uncle who go down to Florida every winter for several months. This past year they wanted to make reservations to go there with friends and could not get anything. They were told by the Beaches and Cream staff to split the res. into two parties overlapping which is what they did and she told me to do the same if I wanted to go. I did get two reservations for our arrival day for a party of 6 and put one in my oldest DD's name who has her own MDE account.

They can seat 6 in one of the large booths, that is where we were seated this past time and we had plenty of room. When we were there a couple of years ago with a party of 8 they pushed at least two of the small parlor tables together for us.

I think it is very very difficult to get a reservation for a larger party without booked almost immediately when your window opens up. So your best bet may be to split it up and play that game. Annoying game yes but at least you have a better chance of finding something.

The tables in the center of the room seat 4, max, as they are very small round tables. When they combine them I think only 6 adults would fit comfortably. I don't think that you could pull up a chair and put 5 at a single table for two reasons - they are so small and it might block the walking path for the servers and other guests. The same issues keep them from adding/pulling up a chair to the end of a booth, it blocks the walking area.

I don't think it is possible to imagine just how tiny this place is until you experience it, words really don't do it justice ;)

We were a party of 11. I snagged 2 reservations within 10 minutes of each other for 7 and 4. When we arrived I told them we were actually all together and could we be seated near each other. We had to wait a bit longer, but they got us in 3 tables of 4 all right by each other.

So maybe try to get 2 ADR's of 3 within a reasonable time frame. They will do what they can to seat your party next to each other.
