We'll be in WDW next week and we have all of our FP+s and ADRs booked. I'm trying to finalize plans and see if I wanted to cancel any of our ADRs.

We're staying at the Yacht Club, and we really wanted to eat at Beaches and Cream. I've been trying to get an ADR for 5 for the last 3 months but haven't had any luck. I checked and found a reservation for 4 for a late dinner. I took it, with the intention of still looking for an opening for 5, but I still haven't found anything. Now that our trip is getting closer, I'm starting to worry that they won't let all of us in, and we might get charged the $10/person cancellation fee.

Our kids are 5, 4 and 17 months old, so we can fit into a booth. I also have no problems eating with my littlest one on my lap. Any thoughts on this? What are the chances of the CM letting all 5 of us in, even with an ADR for only 4? Should I just cancel the ADR?

Call them. Don't do it online. Online you can't book for more than 4.

I have no idea about the odds of getting 5 in on a reservation for 4. If the place is full it won't happen. And that's the smallest restaurant at WDW.

You need to have a reservation for 5. If the restaurant is at capacity, they won't allow an extra guest in, no matter if they can fit on your lap or not. And as tiny as Beaches and Cream is, the odds are good they will be at capacity.

Keep checking for an ADR for 5. If one does't open up, you can decide if you are willing to chance being seated. If they can't seat everyone and you decide to walk away they will charge you the $10 per person no show fee.

The other issue is that to squeeze 5 in, you are counting on a booth being open....if there are only tables left, they are tiny ice cream parlor tables and chairs. If worse came to worse, 4 may be able to sit at a table and the other adult might be able to go in as a walk-up and sit at the counter, though that isn't ideal with 3 kids for a family meal.

There's only 3 booths, 7 tables for 4 (that can be pushed together) and some counter seating so you can't count on anything in particular being open.

Thank you for all the replies! I had no idea I need to call to make a reservation for 5. I made all our other ADRs online, but I guess Beaches and Cream is a much smaller place than other Disney restaurants. l guess I'll cancel that reservation now.

Thanks again!

We booked a Beaches & Cream dinner online for a party of 6 at the 180 day mark so it is possible to do it without calling. I guess they just don't have tons of seating for larger parties. :confused3

I booked online for a party of 5. We went two weeks ago and they sat us in a booth. Parties of 3-4 were at the tables which would be a tight squeeze for 5. I would keep trying for an adr for 5, you'll be much more comfortable in a booth.
