I want to avoid packing 5 beach towels, what does everybody do at water parks. Is it OK to take towels from resorts?

I would never dream of taking pool towels from the hotel to the parks....:rolleyes1

On the topic of what to take to the water parks
- I highly recommend taking water shoes. Cheapies from BIG W are good enough.
- Life vests are provided free if you leave ID so unless the kids are fussy thats handy

:scratchin Beach towels?

Yeah...I don't believe I've not never not taken beach towels on vacay with me. Though it's really strange how I never have any beach towels in my bags on the way home....they must get lost somewhere.....maybe at the beach. Must remember to check Half Moon Bay next time I'm there.

I looked into this last October when I was thinking of going to one of the water parks for an afternoon that never happened. I believe you can rent towels at the water parks.....should you feel particularly flushed with money given how good the exchange rate is.

And I'm with Queenie, I would NEVER dream of taking the resort/hotel towels to a water park or Half Moon Bay or South Beach or Port Stephens or Gold Coast or Bali or gosh....just about anywhere really.

Forgive me....I wouldnt have considered it before, but as we are also taking a cruise, and over on those boards its just as absurd to bring your towels, just use the cruise lines - even in port! Its too hard to get your own dry. You do get charged if they are not returned though!

Might look into the rental or buying some cheapies- I really dont want to pack them - 5 of them takes up a lot of room!

(psst...Batty Mum....Queenie and I were joshing!....take them from the resort pool....but don't tell anyone!! :rotfl:)

Well now I dont know where I stand! :confused3

BTW Towel rental is $2 at the water parks, which is probably what we will do, as we will probably go straight to dinner afterwards, we have an early ADR at Ohana's, and dont want to be responsible for lugging wet towels around.

Over on tripadvisor it is quite acceptable to use room towels at the resort pools and water park. :laundy:

Sorry to mess with you...:) :flower3:

I've never packed a towel...except when I've gone camping....and even then I've got the super absorbant towels that fold up into the size of a DS from the camping shops.
Even when I go to the beach at Half Moon Bay, I'm stopping by the hotel pool and grabbing a towel from there.

As you say....Using your hotel room towels is perfectly acceptable to Disney.

The pool towels at the mod and deluxe resorts are the same as those used at the water parks.

What I've seen 'others' do is get pool towels from their hotel pool, use them at the water park, then leave them at the water park where you return the rented towels.

I would never bring towels from home. Except an ultralight one for my long hair. Speaking of which they might well be on sale at Kathmandu at the moment as they are having their easter sale.

Sorry for teasing...it is a crime PIO and I will always be guilty of.... :flower:
I'm notorious

A Queen outranks a lowly Princess any day....I was only following HER lead....:lmao:

But really....you must have read enough of my PTR and TRs  to know that I'm rarely serious! Especially when I used the double negative....

ps. Are you sure it's not April 1?

Yes, I suggest to rent a towel. Last time, we took towels our first day at a water park. We hung them up in the room and they took forever to dry, with the air conditioning being on, etc. The second trip to a water park, we rented towels and it was great! We'll be doing it again. And yes, less items to pack in your luggage! :)

We have taken the towels from the hotel to the water park on a number of occasions, Disney has absolutely no problem with this. Housekeeping will bring you more towels when you get back to your room.

I've never taken towels to Disney.
