Beach Towel Offer

Hi,
has anyone here taken advantage of the free Disney beach towel offer when ordering the 10-day World Ticket for £189 from https://www.virgintravelstore.com/keithprowse/Main.asp

I tried to place an order myself, but the online checkout procedure is still showing the non-discounted prices. (Hardly reassuring!) I therefore tried phoning through my order instead, but the girl informed me that the towel offer only applied to orders booked online and that they would 'try to sort out the problems with the website'.

We ordered ours last week, I also phoned but the price to order them on the phone is more than the online price, they said it's an incentive to order online. Ours showed up at the discounted prices though.

I don't know yet if we qualified for the free towel, apparently that's just the first 1000 orders, but I do have a phone number to find out from....

I've just phoned them (your post reminded me to do it!) and they know nothing about the beach towel promotion, so I've just emailed Virgin, will let you know when I get a response!

Jo, I've also sent an email to their Web team asking them to sort it out. I tried again to place an order for the 10-day pass. This time the ticket-price was correct, but the 'Amount Due' was listed as £0.00 - Now that is cheap!!!

The website has now righted itself again and the correct figures are being shown during Checkout. I'm still not going to place an order until I can get someone there to confirm whether or not I'll get the free towels with it. - Yes, I know I'm probably a cheapskate, but I just want to see if this towel-offer is actually for real - and not just a load of old flannel.

Ok, I've just come off the phone to the people responsible for the website bookings. They tell me that the towel offer has nothing to do with them, and that they are supplied straight from Disney themselves. - This leads me to believe that there may be an unlimited supply of towels, and that the '1000' figure is used as a sales-initiative. I've therefore placed two separate orders for the 10-day tickets to see if I get a towel with each one. I've put my departure date down as May. (we're not going until September, - but I don't want to be kept waiting until the last moment for them). - I'll let everyone know if I do eventually get the towels.

I've still not had an email back from Virgin. WIsh I'd thought about putting an earlier departure date - d'oh! lol

I want to order 2 of the tickets but am still saving up to pay off the holiday part of the trip.

Will have enough saved by mid April to buy the tickets as well, just hope the beach towels are still available...!!

It's a great deal anyway excluding the towel.
