Beach Suggestion needed

We will be doing our Disney trip in October again this year. So we would like to take our beach trip earlier like in June. We usually go to the Myrtle Beach/North Myrtle beach area which we love. But for June I think we would like to try something farther south, probably Florida.

I used to go to Cocoa Beach some when I was a kid, we had family in that area, but its been years. We really like all the stuff there is to do in Myrtle Beach like Broadway and the outlet malls, not to mention all the great places to eat.

Any sugestions for somewhere farther south that would be comparable?

We did Clearwater Beach after our WDW trip in August.
It was a wonderful beach, the greatest sand, and only about 1.5 hours from Disney. It was a great way to wind down after a busy WDW trip.
We stayed at the Hilton.

Not Florida, but we love to stop at Hilton Head Island on our way home from Disney.

All three of the above posted are good thoughts ... have visited all over the years and some nice spots for sure. Heading back to Hilton Head probably over holiday break.

I think we would really like something in Florida. I've looked a little at the Cocoa Beach area and the Emerald Coast area that was mentioned. It's a little overwhelming though. I'm used to just booking a condo in Myrtle Beach. I think we would enjoy something with a more resort feel but I definitely want something that we can have an oceanfront room.

We had talked about doing Cancun or something but we don't have passports and frankly it just seems like too much with the kids. The baby will only be a year old at the time.
