Beach Photos

We are going to Disney at the end of April. We are staying in Kissimee. We plan to take one day and go to Cocoa Beach. I would love to have my kids pictures taken on the beach. Are there affordable photographers available on short notice? I haven't decided but I think a family pic would be nice too. Don't know if it is better to do it myself or get a photographer. I have searched the web and not had any luck finding one. Any suggestions?

I googled and found something called Nance E Photography, in Cocoa Beach...but they seem to specialize in weddings, and I doubt it would be all that "affordable" for what you're looking for.

A suggestion: waaaay back in 1996, my wife and I renewed our wedding vows at Disney. We wanted a photographer to capture the event, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. So I called a nearby college (Central Florida, I think?) and found their photo-journalism school. I explained what we were looking for, and asked if they knew of any students who would be willing to do it for a reasonable fee -- I think we offered something like $100 or $150 for what was, literally, only about an 60-90 minutes of work. They found a student who was willing and eager to do it, and he was great!

Anyway: it's a thought...

thats a great idea. i am photo student and our school gets calls like that all the time. we are all practically fighting for the chance to do it for thee experience and a little cash is always nice for a struggling college student.
