Hey, we are planning a September trip down to Southern California the week of Labor Day, arriving Monday (Labor Day), then going to Disneyland Tues-Thurs.

We'd be driving in Monday morning from Arizona, then we're thinking of going to the beach the afternoon of Labor Day.

So the question is, what are Labor Day crowds like at the beach? Will it be unbearable on Monday afternoon? Are the beach crowds bigger on the weekend, then drop off somewhat for the actual Labor Day holiday?

I'm guessing my kids probably won't want to spend a ton of time at the beach, but if it's going to be a madhouse, we should probably make other plans...

Thanks in advance for your help!

I live in Huntington Beach and it's a busy weekend with Monday included, but all depends on the weather. Plan on spending some time looking for parking but the beach is a big place, there's always room.
