For the first time in more than a decade, we're staying on property. Any news / suggestions / tips for staying at the Beach Club??

BC is beautiful and you can't beat the pool! Plus you have lots of dining options within walking distance as the Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin resorts are right across the way. You can also walk to MGM and Epcot...although I prefer to take the boats as you do enough walking in the parks!

Great location! Try beaches and cream! You do have many options for dinner including Epcot's world showcase - we eat there a lot which is the reason we choose the Epcot area as our place to stay.

Take some time, or even MAKE some time, to meet & talk with Art, the Greeter at the Beach Club, or as my wife & I think of him, the Grand Admiral of the Beach Club. He is a WONDERFUL man, one of the CM's who are truly the living embodiment of the true Disney Magic! You will NOT regret it, & you WILL walk away with a smile on your face & in your heart!

Enjoy the magic!

Art is very popular! I tried to go talk with him for almost an hour on the 3rd of August and there was the same couple talking with him each time I went back! But he still smiled and waved at me each time.

I suggest Beaches and Cream for an ice cream treat, but not a meal. It isn't that the food is bad, but it cost only $5 more for breakfast buffet at Crystal Palace than Beaches and Cream dinner the night before. $68 for 2 adults and 2 kids at B&C, $73 for Crystal Palace. And we didn't even have dessert. I'm not suggesting you skip it, it's a neat little place, just be aware it is expensive for what you are getting...although DH did buy a souvenier mug there, so that added to the expense. But if you like ice cream, it's the best place to go. JMO

If you plan on going to the Magic Kingdom, either leave plenty of time to get there or have a rental car. The bus ride to this park and the Animal Kingdom can be very long, 40+ minutes for us last October. However, you are just a quick walk from the World Showcase, and it is so great to be able to walk in and catch Illuminations, and walk right back out!

Be aware too that unlike other Disney pools, the whole Storm Along Bay complex closes down for the night. The other resort pools just close down the slides. You can still use the quiet pool, but it is not near the same.
