soft goods is more along the lines of sheets and drapes.

hard goods is more furnishings/carpet.

From what I understand BCV is getting both a hard and soft goods refurb. VWL just got both also and they got new appliances = hard goods. Have also heard that they are replacing tiles at BCV. Hope this is true.

SSR just got a soft goods refurb and that was carpet, bedding, drapes, couch upholstery and pillows.

We're already booked for BCV for June 2015. I'm not going to worry too much about it. Having to avoid some construction areas and noise during the daytime isn't going to cramp our style much. btw...What does "hard goods refurbishment" mean

It should include appliances and perhaps some things like flooring, light fixtures and really everything. What DVC hasn't done a whole lot of is bathroom tile replacement but it could go that far. (And probably should be the bath tile in most cases).
