Beach Club Villas or Wilderness Lodge Villas??

Just got back from Disney. We stayed at the Beach Club Villas!! We absolutely loved it!! Close walking distance to Epcot and MGM. Getting ready to make reservations for next year. Wondering if anyone can give me advice. I hear that alot of people like Fort Wilderness. We have stayed at the Saratoga, Caribbean Beach and the Beahc Club. I liked Caribbean Beach alot. Saratoga I just did not feel like I was on vacation. Don't ge me wrong very nice but just not for me. We really liked the Beach Club. Location, atmosphere, and the pool was outstanding. My husband says joking that he will not go if he can't stay at the beach club. So I would like to try the VWL but would like some input on what other people prefer. Any help would be great.

Well, my name probably lets you know my preference.

But owners at VWL love their "home." I think it's a cozy feeling property.

It offers boat or bus transportation to MK and boats to CR and FW. Buses to everything place else in the World.

Not as many restaurant choices as the Y&BC/BCV and BW area. But if you travel to the CR or MK, the monorail resort restaurants are fun to get to and there are many great restaurants there. And Artist Point at the WL is excellent.

Pools don't compare IMO.

I'd generally agree with BCV23. Of course, given my screen name you'd most often find me at OKW. But, when we stray (such as for F&W), our preference is for BCV.

We did indeed have a nice stay at VWL about a year ago and wouldn't mind going back, especially if our focus that trip was going to be the MK. And of course our favorite restaurant in all of WDW is right here - Artist Point. But, OTOH, our second favorite restaurant in all of WDW is closer to BCV - Yachtsman Steakhouse.

How can you decide?

Just wondering if you noticed that you said "Fort Wilderness" - I'm assuming that since you've stayed at so many WDW resorts you know that FW is not connected with VWL. Just checking, lol! We're staying on rented points at the BCV this January (after Friday and Sat. at Pop) but I've been thinking about VWL for next time or possibly AKV. We've stayed twice at BWV and love love love walking into Epcot and MGM. We never take the boat - too slow for us!
