Beach club, villas or hotel

I added three days onto a vacation with cash. I currently booked those days at the Beach Club Villas. March 5 - 8.

Due to the rehab, do you think I am better of switching to the hotel? The price was about the same when I made the reservation. This could have changed, but assuming it is about the same cost, and I can switch, am I better off?

Daily housekeeping does not play into it. And my current reservation is for a studio.

I don't know what March will bring, but I just stayed at the villas this weekend and didn't see any refurbing going on.

I thought that the entire Beach Club resort was undergoing the rehab - including the hotel rooms? I don't think it makes too much of a difference.

I guess my question is where would you stay if you were paying cash?

Which rooms are in better condition? If the villas are as bad as people suggest, should i switch to the hotel?

The worst condition room I've ever had at Disney was BC so I don't really know what to say! It was a water view that I was moved to after having cleanliness issues with the first standard view room I was assigned to. But for all wear that was showing on the furniture it wasn't that bothersome - it just was what it was and that was 2 years ago or maybe 3 I believe - so no refurb between then and now. My BCV studios have all been in better condition than that room at BC.

But I'd pick BCV studio (where you will get placed anywhere in the resort) over a standard BC room unless I were looking for 2 beds. At BC some of the rooms only have Juliet balconies - standing room - and the standard rooms do not have great views. BCV isn't necessarily known for great views but you might luck out. Of course on the hotel side you might get upgraded to a water view and those are nice.



If you haven't stayed in a BC room then maybe you want to pick that just to give it a try and cross your fingers for a room with a balcony you can sit on and that doesn't look out at a roof or the end of a building. The conditions of the room will just be luck of the draw for either IMO.

Does having the kitchenette make any difference? I find that I miss that when I stay on the hotel side.
