We have 4 of us total, but my kids won't sleep together in the pullout sofa.

I'm thinking of staying at the BCV this June (cash, we don't own DVC yet). We've stayed twice at BWV, once when DD (2 at the time) slept part time in the pack and play (then with me and DH shared sofa with DS), once when we packed her toddler size aero bed, and we set that up next to us in the master bedroom.

Now we're planning an anniversary trip (our 15th!) to WDW (we honeymooned at the GF, but that is not comfortable to do with two kids in one room to me). I said let's drive down again (we did that the first time we took both kids and the first time we stayed at BWV), stay for about 10 days, and get a villa again. I was looking at BCV vs. BWV (we love that area for the food, the atmosphere, the proximity to Epcot, and DH and I stayed at BC but our stay wasn't great due to mousekeeping major issues but that was many years ago).

The BCV in general are smaller than the BWV, so that is a concern. I am bringing a twin aerobed for DD, so she'll be more comfortable. She is the early to bed one, so we can let her sleep while we stay up a bit. Has anyone done this in the BCV? I'll even bring her own bedding, and I can put it away during the day and all. We used to do this with the toddler one (which was the BEST purchase I ever made as it's only a bit smaller but has raised sides and comes with its own matress pad). I am concerned if we go with the BCV (since it's a bit closer to Epcot and we've never stayed there, and the kids may love stormalong bay) her bed won't fit. Then we're stuck doing the "you sleep with the kicking kid and I'll get some rest in the king bed with the other" scenario.

Thanks in advance!

Well, I think you will love BCV, but I have a question? Why can't one sleep on the aerobed and the other on the couch and you and DH enjoy the wonderful king bed for your 15th together, even if you have to put one to bed later than the other?

I don't think there's a big difference spacewise between BWV and BCV rooms.

We have stayed at studios at BCV and HHI. Our 13 & 9 year olds do not share the pullout bed - they alternate nights on a twin sized air mattress and we haven't had space issues. Ironically, the same thing happens when we stay in a 1BR. We have our own room, but they still have the pullout. :goodvibes

I've stayed both places and the room size felt the same...if one is bigger, it's only negligably so. I would just stay where you want to stay, I don't think the difference in space will be an issue for you. :)

When people say that the BCV is smaller than the BWV, they mean the entire complex, not the rooms. The rooms are approximately the same, similar to VWL and SSR.

But here's my favorite saying when I hear about kids refusing to share a bed. "We're going to miss one of you on the trip. Who's going to stay at Aunt XXX's house while we go to WDW? But if you will share a bed, we can all go."

:goodvibesI'm with you on this one. Our still share the sleeper at 13 and 17.
It's just a few days...not a lifetime, and you are in Disneyworld!!!!!:cool1:

I agree also..my 15 and 7 yr old have no problem sharing.:)

I meant the rooms are smaller at the BCV than at the BWV - according to the disney website, the difference is between 726 sq. ft. at the BCV and 814 sq. ft. at the BWV (of course we've seen variations at the BWV, once they initially gave us a tiny filthy first floor room with only one balcony, then we said no way and they moved us). So I was concerned the twin aerobed for DD will not have floor space next to our bed in the master bedroom. My kids are tall and can't possibly share the queen sofa sleeper. My DD always goes to bed hours earlier than DS also.

I'm leaning towards the BCV as it's a bit closer to Epcot, and we've never done those villas before.

Happy 15th anniversary!

I think you'll be fine at BCV and you all will really like SAB. Give it a try!!

I am a little biased on this one. We love BCV. We've stayed there most of the time and in the one bedroom. We are also a family of four (2 young children). We have always been able to use a toddler bed set aside in the master bedroom for my daughter and the pull out for my son. However, on our last trip, we tried to put the toddler bed (sideways) on the head of the pull out while my son slept sideways on the foot of the bed. This worked out fine. However I can see that my son will be too large for this arrangement soon and so my husband and I had agreed that they would then take the king bed, again my daughter at the head of the bed (so there is less chance for her to fall off) surrounded by pillows while my son again takes the foot of the bed. The king bed is rather quite large so we believe this will do us for a few years.

However, we did consider bringing in an aero type bed for my daughter when she's older and so my son can take the pull out once again. We measure the space (moving the chair and desk over) and found that, although tight, it still fits. I believe we will be doing this although my husband has asked for me to keep an eye out for more points so that we can one day be able to stay at the two bedrooms ---- I absolutely have no problem with that!

Anyways, I do believe that the one we stayed in at BWV and the BCV appear to be the same size. I didn't find much of a difference. But then again I really wasn't looking.

Thanks everyone! I think we'll go for the BCV and hope the twin aerobed will fit somewhere on the floor in the master bedroom, so we all get some decent rest! SAB looks fun for the kids, as they've never stayed at the Beach Club before.

When we stayed at BCV in August. I brought a Twin Aero for my 14 year old son, that way he did not have to share with his 10 yr sister. Anyway, if you take the livingroom table and put it on the side of the tv stand, the twin fits perfect in front of the couch bed when opened. And I had no fighting(except over who got the new twin matress). Hope that helps, enjoy the BCV our favorite place.

Just left a BCV one-bedroom...you might have to move a chair or a trunk, but you won't have any trouble fitting a twin aerobed in the MBR...but here's another idea...the bathroom set-up is kind of funky...there's a closet sized room w/a door containing the toilet; then a largish room, w/a door to the living room/kitchen and another to another room, containing a shower & a sink, and then a third room (also w/doors) containing the whirpool tub and a sink...to one side of the sink is a large closet area, which is almost room sized...I'd bet money the twin aerobed would fit there nicely--it wouldn't interfere at all w/toilet/shower/sink area...would make the whirpool tub and sink area off limits (maybe)...but would give everyone a bit of privacy...

The closet door opens into the closet instead of out. So it requires the space to open the door.

Love that. :thumbsup2 It reminds me of the "one piece of cake" left issue. One cuts the other picks their piece first. Sometimes we parents do come out on top (not often, but sometimes).;)
