We (me, dh & dd14)are taking my sil, bil and my neice 16, nephews 10, 12 for their 1st disney trip, how difficult will it be to get 2 studios for aug 19 - 24? My niece will be staying with us.

We were able to book a studio day-by-day last Oct. after Columbus Day...

had to WL for Sunday but, got it several months later.

Traditionally, it's a busy time w/F&W & MNSSHP; think end of August would be fine.

I suspect you'll have no trouble getting it. We've gotten BCV (studio) at 7 months for the week after Thanksgiving the last 3 years. Three years ago got it when we called, two years ago we had to wait list a night, last time around we had to waitlist the entire stay......so that week has been getting more difficult. However, late August isn't nearly as popular a time at the DVC resorts, so I think you'll be ok.

Hope it's not too difficult because that is the same week that I'll be on the phone for too. We are hoping for a 2 bedroom, but would settle for 2 studios also. I still have 183 banked points to use or commit too before September and have 3 vacations already planned for this year. I own SSR and BWV and use my BWV points for harder times like my 2 weeks in October, so plan to use my banked SSR for August and probably Feb. 08.

Thank you, you just reassurred me. We just bought ssr in nov 06, and my daughter wants to stay at bcv to try the stormalong bay pool. My dh says don't worry we can stay anywhere.

Our first trip as DVC members was to the BCV in September. I called about six months in advance and didn't have a problem booking a one bedroom. August isn't "prime" DVC time, so I think your chances are good.

We were there this past August for 5 nights starting Aug. 27 and were able to book that studio at 7 months with no problem.

I booked 2 days ago for a studio at BCV (OKW is our home resort) for 7/31 arrival for 4 nights...I think you will be fine. I meant to call New Years Eve and then forgot to do it until Monday of this week. I think your dates would be even less crowded since FL schools are back in session before you arrive.

I asked that question today to MS and there is still "good availability" at both BCV and BW preferred.
I had no problem booking this timeframe last year for BWV just because FL schools are back in session.
