I just booked a 2 bedroom at BCV for March and haven't been here before as a DVC. Does anyone have a map of the DVC section and can anyone suggest the best location for a family with a senior who will spend most of their day on the balcony as she cannot walk well and prefers to sit and read and watch people.

Any links or info would be very helpful.

If you want to watch people request either a pool view or a courtyard view. You might also want to request near elevator for medical reasons, unless you need first floor, which you can also request.

In that case, I recommend a first floor OKW villa instead. The porch there is great to sit on and see what's going on in the world. The balcony at BCV is rather narrow - just a couple of chairs and a side table.

Otherwise, go for a pool view at BCV. More activity there to see.

At the BC/BCV there are quite a few inside rooms in which to sit and read and to watch passersby as well as just staying on your balcony. If you face the woods you may hear the group British Invasion's performances. I personally would like a view facing the quiet pool and the canal, but really there are plenty of options for sitting and reading at the beach club!

Yeah, Bobbi, the Breezeway would be a great place to sit, read and people watch. And it is air conditioned.

I agree at BCV the breezeway is probably going to be better option to people watch, the DVC units are not where all the "action" is, so you are looking at the woods or maybe the a quiet pool (which isn't used a ton). If you are willing to go upper floors, make sure you request near the main elevators.

I would consider BWV's with a pool or bw view which woudld be great.

this is great info! We will be staying at BCV in January the night before our cruise.

A few years ago, we were in #305 and it was great for people watching. It was a quiet area, also.

Simba's Mom, what was your view? I am a bit dissappointed that none of the room sseem to look at the boardwalk. Based on the map, it looks like the higher rooms facing the woods will see the EPCOT fireworls and I am guessing the poolside view rooms would face the Hollywood Studios fireworks? Is this accurate?

We secured a 2 bedroom with 2 queen in the second bedroom and I know there aren't many of these.

A picture is worth many words-

We could see all the people going back and forth to the Solarium, all the people outside the BC Marketplace, great for people-watching!

The BCV building is located behind the Beach Club hotel. There are no views of the Boardwalk or Storm Along Bay, or any water views other than the quiet pool view. It is very quiet. If you are looking for good views BCV is not the correct DVC resort.
The poolside views are the exact opposite of the Studios fireworks. Beyond the pool is a canal and then the parking lot. The higher woods view rooms will see the higher Illuminations fireworks, and this is nice, but it is not the same as seeing Illumination in Epcot.
The 2 Queen bed 2nd bedroom villas are limited in number and you are lucky to get one. Most 2 bedroom second bedrooms have 1 queen bed and a double sleeper sofa configuration. Only OKW and the limited number at BCV have the 2 Queen beds.
I love my BCV home, and I think you will too. But I want your expectations to be accurate so that you won't be disappointed when you arrive. If the view is the most important thing for you you might be happier at the BWV's.
Good Luck

Does anyone know specific room numbers of the 2 BR villas with 2 queens in the second BR. I know some of the rooms are marked on parkinfo2go but would like to know if there are more. I would specifically like a villa facing the quiet pool. We just returned from BCV yesterday and I tried to get the info at the check in desk. It is apparently a heavily guarded secret!:confused
Thanks,
Tina

Just request a pool view. Not a guarantee, but a legitimate request.

As far as I can tell, all of the 2 queen rooms are marked on this site. THere aren't many. I was able to secure one for March this week. I'm requesting a higher woods view in hopes of seeing and hearing EPCOT.

Not choosing this resort for the view. More for the location and Stormalong Bay.

How about some photos from owners to get me excited.

And here is the irony... I am booked into a dedicated 2Q 2 bedroom at BCV for January and would really have preferred a lock-off! :lmao:Believe it or not, it was the only 2 bedroom available.:sad1:

We have had pool views before and I would never consider them quiet at BCVs. People were out there swimming and hollering at all hours. Finally at 2am had to call security. Also the lights around the pool area are very bright.

The views at BCV are not that great, I would ask for something close to the courtyard so you can use the Breezeway.

There are only 25 rooms with two queens so usually requests for a view are not available, you will get what is open in that category.

We have always requested a first floor pool view and usually get it. ( yeah, i know, nobody wants a first floor pool but we LOVE it) anyway.... just got back from a spur of the moment 4 day weekend trip. First time in a studio and requested again 1st floor pool and got 5th floor woods!:sad2: I was so disappointed till I got to the room. It was great:lmao: I loved it! We had a fairly clear view of the fireworks. We didn't even go to Epcot to see them!

Oh, Oh!! I'd love to have 5th floor woods view-I'll probably get the first floor pool view next time.
