Our wait list came through so we will finally be staying at Beach Club in April.:cool1: We have always wanted to stay there as the location and the pool can't be beat.
Any tips from those that have been there regarding location requests?

BCV is a small resort, so there really isn't much of a view. It was built behind the BC on the old CM parking lot. High floor, low floor, pool view is about it.

You could also ask for close to elevator. There are two. One is closer to the parking lot if you have a car and the other is closer to the main BC lobby. Enjoy your stay! We love it there.

how long did it take for your waitlist? I currently have one day WL in the middle of my trip. if it doesnt come through we will be going to 3 different resorts - which i am not really keen on.

BCV is our home and we LOVE it! Have stayed in all room configurations. We always "request" pool view. We like the first floor for 1 and 2 BRs. For a studio, we "request" room 560 or 566. They have a HUGE balcony! We've stayed in 560 twice in July/Aug. It was awesome sitting on the balcony during those almost daily late afternoon thunderstorms!

I absolutely love BCV! However, location requests are so hard-different people like different things.. I remember once, a person raved about the wonderful view from her studio. My next stay, I happened to get just that studio. Boy, did I think I'd be lucky! But the person didn't mention that the studio faced the road, and for me the traffic noise was so loud and distracting that I didn't notice the view. Small town girl may notice traffic more than city. Yet, another stay I faced the woods and there was a hawk sitting in a certain spot in a tree every morning. As a birder, I just loved it-I looked forward to "my" hawk greeting me every morning. Yet, shortly afterwards another person was in that same studio and complained about seeing nothing except "a bunch to trees". However, similar to a previous poster, I've stayed in 460 and although the balcony on the 4th floor is smaller than 5th, I loved watching all the turtles in the canal. But I can't help but wonder if "pool view" might disturb people at night if a few people are swimming and splashing.
