Hi we are travelling this Oct party of 3, lots of rooms now gone so this is our choice!,which resort would you choose?...We are Nanny,Mummy and 13 year old girl

Beach Club. Great pool, walking distance (or boat) to two parks, tons of restaurants within walking distance, much bigger room. AKL is lovely, but the rooms are smaller and you will be further from all of the parks except AK.

We've stayed at both and my choice would be AKL. Both are nice resorts, but we find the CS options at BC to be limited (we don't find it convenient to walk into Epcot for a quick meal, especially for breakfast). We also weren't wow'd by SAB and like the pool (as well as theme/decor/atmosphere) more at AKL.

It depends on what your plans are. I love both resorts, however if I was going primarily for F&W I would choose BC. You cannot beat the proximity to Epcot. If you are going to kick back and relax, wat to spend time at the resort, I woudl choose AKL. This is a stunning resort that offers a lot just within the resort itself. I would not stay there if I wa going RD to park close.

The savanna room view at AKL would be lots of fun, and the resort is really nice, but you would be taking buses to every park. The BC room could have a daybed so that everyone gets a sleeping surface and would be larger than the AKL room. But the view would be most likely of a roof. Outside of that, the Beach Club has a great pool and is walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. If the price was the same we would choose the Beach Club for location and transportation reasons.

Thats really helpful Thank you..

Two wonderful choices and you will not be unhappy at either. But BC would be better for location, location, location. Walking to both parks and for F&W is wonderful. The Beach Club pool is great and my kids having loved AKL Savannah view would pick the Beach Club.

I don't think there is a wrong choice here, they are both fantastic resorts. Our longest trip each year is always to AKL, and we would never compromise that, but for an October trip with F&W we always choose BC. Both pools are great, and you actually get access to two feature pools at AKL, but you really cannot beat the BC pool and Hurricane Hanna's pool bar.

No wrong choice but I will add that if staying at AKL make sure you have time to enjoy the resort so much to do and see.

Tough choice. The rooms at AKL are smaller but we loved having the savannah view, love Victoria Falls, Jiko, Boma, the atmosphere and ambiance of the resort. Pool is nice too - very large. We don't find the bus service to be bad at all and it's nice that it only goes to Kidani and Jambo House and no other resorts.

OTOH, we love the BC. Rooms are bigger, walking distance to Epcot, S&D (for restaurants), close to HS. Never used the pool yet as it was always too cold (hoping to this December!). Nice atmosphere but not as lovely as AKL IMO.

I would suggest putting your priorities down on paper: room size, proximity to restaurants (what are your favourite ones?), proximity to parks (where are you going?), view. Then decide based on that but you can't go wrong either way. They're both lovely and both in our top 4 choices.

BC for sure! BC/YC's pool is amazing.

Location is wonderful, easy walk to EPCOT and a nice walk or boat to DS. Larger rooms at BC as other posters have mentioned. Staying in the EPCOT area gives you access to all of the other resorts in a quick walk. Fun nightlife at the BW area for your teen. When our kids were teens they loved staying in this area.

We liked AKL too, but it was very quiet. Too removed from the other resorts, we like to be in the middle of it all.

The only reason we stay at YC or BW is that BC has fewer full size balcony rooms. A patio/full size balcony is a must for us and I would not be a OK with out one, so I do not chance it.
