I have a standard club level room booked at the Beach Club Resort. At one time I thought those rooms usually had 2 queen beds and a day bed. I stayed in one 10 years ago and we had 5 people in the room. Has anyone stayed in one of these rooms recently? There will be 3 adults and we would really like to have the day bed so everyone has their own bed. On the Disney website it stated 2 queens beds with a max 4 people.

There are rooms on the club level floor that are two small for a daybed so they can't guarantee that everyone who makes a reservation could get one. This could be a reason why Disney changed the occupancy from 5 to 4 for this floor.

There are rooms with the daybed, but not all of the rooms have them. You may want to put in a request for one. :)

I stayed in one about 4 years and I did not have a daybed.

We stayed in a standard club level room at BC one time that did not have the day bed. I have a boy and a girl who don’t do well sharing a bed and was looking forward to having 3 sleeping spaces. Turns out the BC will provide a rollaway free of charge which is what we did.

Our room (in August) had two Queens and a pull out sofa.

The rooms that are too small for a day bed have architectural features that encroach into the normal room space. From short side walls, Dormers roof lines that bump in sections on the outside wall on either side of the Sliding doors or even a Single door with Roman Shades. They are not just limited to the 5th floor.

So even if there are 2 Queen beds, and a day bed the guest limit is still 4 for non suites.

This change was due to pricing of the CL rooms, and overcrowding in the Lounges. With 5 Adults they were losing money or had to dramatically raise the CL room prices that made them less competitive with the other CL offerings.

There were also discussions about reducing the CL room occupancy at the other CL resorts. But they all had room in the lounges for the headcount besides YC & BC.

The only other exception resort impacted due to lounge space was the BWI Inn Keepers Club when they added additional rooms outside the Doors to the CL area only to remove all these extra rooms with the exception of the 2 Deluxe rooms.
