We are planning a trip for 2018 and trying to decide which resort to choose between the above three choices. We have stayed at the Beach Club and before, and absolutely loved it! However, that was for a trip with just adults and we took advantage of the proximity to Epcot with lots of dinners in the World Showcase etc. and also really enjoyed the pool area.

Our next trip will be Fall 2018 and we will have an infant under 6 months with us, and I'm trying to decide which resort would be best overall with a baby? The monorail definitely gives the Polynesian an edge with access to Epcot and MK which are the two parks we tend to spend the most time at. I also like the idea of having a food court at the resort since we won't plan many TS with a baby, and the Beach Club Marketplace didn't have a ton of variety when we stayed there. However, we just love the environment of the Beach Club and there is something about that lobby smell and music that feels like home!

Finally, we are considering the Wilderness Lodge because it would be about $400 cheaper than the Polynesian and still has easy access to the MK (and semi-easy monorail access as well). We've never stayed there but love visiting, and I have always loved the lobby and theming!

Overall though, we are really looking for which resort will give us the easiest trip with an infant, and if there are any other DISers who have traveled with children around the same age - how much would the monorail access and food court factor in? I have a feeling we won't be spending too much time at the pool with a baby that young, so that kind of neutralizes the pool aspect!

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated!

Can't go wrong with any of them. Our daughter was 10 months when we stayed at WL in February. If the pool isn't a concern, it's a great option. We find the WL pool to be underwhelming and too crowded (our older kids tire of it quickly because they feel like sardines). We really loved the boat ride to the CR to catch the mono. It's certainly not as speedy as just leaving your room and walking straight to the mono, but it's relaxing, the captains are pleasant and engaging, and it forces you to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. We were there for 10 days and didn't get tired of it. Rooms were quiet and baby slept great (we use white noise during the night, though, so that also helps). Actually near the end of the trip she wasn't feeling well, and we ended up calling for housekeeping at 8pm to change the bedding after she threw up her bottle. Three ladies arrived quickly and were very nice about it. Overall it was a great choice!

I would pick the WL, not just because I loved it but also because it is farther away from the fireworks. If you have a sleeping baby and the fireworks go off, you might not be too happy. Love them all, but I would pick WL. Have fun!

We've stayed at all 3 and the Poly is our favorite, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. We love the Poly for the tropical atmosphere, large/spacious rooms, and the beach for relaxing/watching the fireworks. With that said, the WL is also a beautiful resort with great surroundings, nice pool, and is convenient to MK. If the extra cost is doable, I'd go with the Poly. If you are looking to save a little, WL would be my next choice. Good luck!

They're all great resorts so it's a tough choice! But with littles, I do like being on the monorail. When DS was 3 months old, we stayed at CR, and that was great...especially being able to walk to MK. Anytime you are not having to fold up the stroller to get on the bus is a great time. :thumbsup2

Of your choices, I would go with the Poly. Bigger rooms, especially if you are going to need a crib in the room.

We've stayed at all three resorts and if you are spending the majority of your time at MK and EP and looking for the most convenient resort, then Poly definitely wins.

We love WL and the boat access to MK is great, but busing to every other park is really a pain as they share buses with Ft. W. We only recently started staying there again because my son no longer needs a car seat, so I feel comfortable ubering everywhere. Otherwise, we would be staying at an EP and MK resort simply for convenience.

BC is great, but, again, if you are spending a lot of time at MK, go with the Poly for the easiest access to both MK and EP.

Poly wins for the monorail access. We did BC with a 6 month old and it is certainly do-able, but the monorail is easier to use with strollers than the busses.

I voted for WL. There’s something very cozy about WL in Fall. Nice rocking chairs in front of the fire. I think it’s also easier to be in a building where you’re an elevator ride away from food and lobby with an infant.

I voted Wilderness Lodge. It's a beautiful resort and, as PP have said, WL has a very cozy and inviting atmosphere.

The Poly would be my suggestion. You can't beat the monorail access when you have a little one traveling with you.

WL is quieter in my opinion so that would be my pick for traveling with an infant. We love the boat access and never have an issue getting to the Parks.

Poly has much bigger rooms which is a plus but I hate the hike to the GCH. When my DD was 3 she got sick while at the Poly. I felt like I was constantly hiking over to get food and meds. Location to TTC and MK can’t be beat though.
