Weekend trip, which to choice, Beach Club or Yacht Club?

Stayed at YC. Never stayed at BC.
Is BC still under construction? Is there noise? Where is the construction?
BC is closer to Epcot but would stop to Marketplace for breakfast so is it still closer?
Should I try BC?
Which is more crowded? Which give a better chance of a nicer room?

I would stay at whichever resort is cheaper. :)

The room refurbishment is completed at the BC resort. There is still work to do at the BC villas, but that won't affect the main BC resort. The lobby and Solarium are finished, too.

The BC is closer to Epcot and the Skyliner but farther from the boat dock. The BC marketplace has more options than the YC marketplace.

I prefer the YC rooms but prefer the BC for everything else. :)

Will hear any construction noise from the Villas?
Why do you prefer YC rooms?

One potential downside to BC rooms is that some rooms have small balconies. If that matters to you, then the YC rooms are a better choice. I agree with Wood Nymph that the location and facilities at the BC is slightly better.

Overall, I think that most people prefer the BC. I like the less formal atmosphere better. Also, I prefer the style and decor of the BC rooms better. You may want to request a full balcony or patio.

Whether or not you will hear construction noise at the BC depends somewhat upon your room location. If you want to be as far away as possible, then book water view and request "far away from Noise, such as construction".

If it is just a weekend trip and you have never stayed at the BC, then I would give it a try. It is always fun to stay at a different resort and the BC is, IMO, the best of the Epcot area resorts.

You will not hear any noise from the villas. The work is all interior and I don't think they have returned to work yet. The refurbishment at the villas is still on pause, as far as I know.

The YC rooms all have balconies, except for a couple rooms. The showers all have glass doors and wand shower heads along with the regular shower head. The BC showers did not add the wands far as I can tell. Some of the YC rooms have a full shower instead of a shower/tub combo. The closets at the YC have a nice storage system with lots of shelves. But we are still staying at the BC in Oct and Nov-Dec instead of YC because of the location and marketplace. :)

If you want closer proximity to EP, choose BC. If you want a quieter atmosphere and a guaranteed bigger balcony, choose YC. I prefer YC over BC because I find BC a bit chaotic. I also prefer the set-up at the Marketplace at YC as opposed to the QS at BC. I also like that you can do to-go orders from Ale and Compass for a nicer breakfast. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either.
