We were trying to decide between these two resorts for our stay next year. It's hard!!! We have stayed at the Poly once and loved it. I love the Island vibe and the tiki torches and music playing at night. We were in a building close to the TTC and being able to walk there was really convenient. At this point, I think we are leaning towards the YC/BC for our next visit. We had 3 main reason-

#1 were we're going the end of Aug, and we know it will be deathly hot. We've been at that time before, and by noon I have to go to the hotel as I'm done. We have a 12, 9 and 3 year old. The pool area is a big thing. The girls love to swim and I think will get a lot of use out of the BC pool area. I love that there is a sand bottom, zero entry area for my 3 year old. Between the sand and splashing in the water, she can stay entertained there for a long time and there is more there to keep the older ones entertained as well. #2- While we will probably spend 3 mornings at the MK, I dislike MSEP. I can only see us spending 1 night in the MK to see Wishes. Otherwise we'll spend a couple nights at both HS and Epcot. The ability to walk to our resort at night and not be crammed onto a bus at the mass exodus time for all of that is appealing. #3- Mostly just because it will be something new. DH likes to stay at different resorts, and I've enjoyed the feel Boardwalk when we've been there in the past.

We've stayed at both and while we had a nice time at the BC, my choice would be the Poly for the above reasons. I thought the BC was nice and I'm glad we tried it, but we prefer the MK area and the Poly is just amazing (IMO). Good luck!

I agree! The Poly IS amazing! I feel the same way about the MK area, too. Just magical, IMO.

There is a lot of love for both resorts on these boards. We love them both and for the last two summers we've done split stays because we couldn't decide between the two. With that said, on this last trip we all agreed that Poly has a slight edge over the BC. We love the proximity to the MK, love seeing the castle when swimming in the pool, love the food options at the Poly, love the transportation options and the monorail, love the tropical feel, we just love everything. I really don't think you can go wrong though. I'd probably pick the one that is closest to the park you'll frequent the most (MK vs. Epcot/DHS). Have fun!

Exactly!

Yes, the Poly would be my choice as well!

The Poly does have a new kids splash play area and the quiet pool has been completely reconstructed which has a zero entry along with a pool bar now.
