beach club or bay lake

Hi we are going to disney first week of october. we are dvc members. i have only stayed at the boardwalk (home resort) as dvc members. we wanted to stay somewhere different this time. we were thinking between bay lake tower and beah club villas, but just cant decide. any help is appreciated. we do like to be close to epcot and take long walks. does the monorail go to epcot from bay lake. we would be staying in a studio. thanks

epcot food and wine is during october, so i'd bet you've missed the window to get BCV.

BLT might be possible, but since we're 6 months out, you may not have many options...

(the monorail goes through the contemporary next to BLT...you get off at the ticket center and get on the epcot monorail.)

Stayed at BLT last october. Getting back and forth from epcot on the monorail was no problem.

Have stayed at both, you are in for a great vacation either way (assuming there is availability)!!

If you do stay at BLT make sure you go up to the lounge one evening. Beautiful view of the fireworks without a crowd.

I would suggest that you try Bay Lake Tower. Since you have stayed at Boardwalk, Beach Club would be a similar vacation. Bay Lake Tower will let you walk to the Magic Kingdom or take the monorail to Epcot.

We love BLT and enjoy staying there. My DH and I love being able to walk over to MK, walk around the entire park, stop and get a Dole Whip and then head back.

It is a relaxing and enjoyable time!

At this point, whatever you can get. Most members book their home resort at 11 months. And then try to change to a non-home resort at 7 months out.

Calling MS first thing tomorrow, for Halloween weekend, I know I am crazy thinking I will get our first choice-BLT studio! With F & W and Halloween, I know I will be lucky to find anything! Wish me luck
