I am staying in the Beach Club for the land leg of my Land/Sea Disney Cruise arriving December 16th.

I am interested in your reviews of the BC.

I have stayed in a Deluxe hotel before (see below). How does it compare?

I believe I am just in a standard room. What are the standard rooms like?

How far of a walk is it to Epcot and MGM? Or is it easier to take Disney transportation? Is so, which form of transportation? Bus? Boat?

Also, I heard it is quicker to get to the MK by going over to Epcot and taking the monorail. Is that true?

Any additional ideas, comments or concerns will be VERY welcome.

DD and I stayed at the BC for 5 nights last Dec. We had a std. garden view room, #1630 right off the lobby, and just a few doors down from the gift shop. It was a nice pastel-themed room, with beach scenes on the bedspreads, and it had 2 queen beds. I think some rooms also have a daybed, but ours didn't.

The walk to Epcot was short and sweet, very easy, but we always took the boat to MGM, posters state they have easily walked, but it looked like an awfully long walk to us!!;) And, you can either walk (about 5 minutes) or ride the boat over to the Boardwalk.

The bus to MK stops at YC, then BC, and then Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin. After picking up at these resorts, the trip to MK is not really that long, though. We did not go to AK that trip, so I don't know about the length of time it takes to get there, but it's not long, I'm sure.

We enjoyed our stay at the BC very much. SAB pool is incredible, and the access to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk can't be beat!!:sunny:

HTH!:wave2:

We've now stayed at BC twice, and fortunately (since we loved the room) we've gotten the same room twice. It's on the second floor, just around the corner from the elevators. It has a daybed, and a full balcony, and if you just lean out a "wee bit" you can have a water view! :teeth:

On the other hand, I had family there in April that had a 4th floor, tucked WAY in the back room... it was MUCH smaller, and had a smaller door to the balcony, and there was mildew all over the door and balcony...

We like the BC during the food and wine fest - the ONLY time we use the buses is to go over to MK in the am. We then ride the monorail over to EPCOT and walk through (sampling as we go)...
