We'll be there 2/2 - 2/6 and BOG is booked solid. I am checking daily for cancellations to no avail and wondering ... Is it an option to eat dinner at BOG without a reservation? Recommendations appreciated thanks!

I have been doing the same for Feb 4-8 with no luck. I think I am going to give up and we will do lunch instead:).

Thanks ... Do you happen to know if the "show" in the restaurant is the same at lunch as it is at dinner ... Despite it being quick serve?

We ate there 12/1 for dinner and its not a show. The Beast walks through the castle and your not allowed to get out of your seats. He walked through twice while we were eating but after eating you are allowed to go into the study for pics with him.

Your smarter to do lunch. We were there 12/1 and I wouldn't go back for Dinner.

We have been trying to get anything for dinner 2/12 – 2/15, checking multiple times a day for weeks now. Have even had one person coordinate with me when she dropped a reservation, but had no luck catching it even though we timed it perfectly and I kept trying to grab it for about an hour.

Another time, someone posted a cancellation when I happened to be on line, I tried to grab it to, but again, no luck.

Can it be that there really is that many people trying to get ressies all day long that catching a coordinated drop is not even possible? Or.....

.... might the rumors true? Have they have over booked and are not re-offering canceled reservations back into the system? :confused3

If anyone ever “catches” one, will you please share?

We may end up doing lunch, but we are celebrating our 20 year anniversary and was really hoping for dinner... and some "Grey Stuff" :)

I spoke with my friend the other day that is a travel agent and does a lot of Disney reservations. She said that yes they did overbook and that for the next year, they will probably be booked solid. In other words, no cancellations going back into the system.

i know its a long way away but i was able to get mine for june with no problems at all. i did use the phone to book because the site is having problems so maybe try calling disney and see if they can find something thats not showing online. hope that can somewhat help :)

I had the exact same issue - I coordinated a time to grab a cancelled ADR for BOG and it did not show up. I kept refreshing and refreshing. So bummed!

I read that people are starting to line up for lunch as soon as the park opens. NO THANKS.

Yep me too....booked my June ressies for dinner on the 180 day mark. I didn't realize there was an overbooking problem....glad I marked my calendar for the reservation window.

I was on a cruise when BOG ressies opened and have not been able to get them for dinner for 1/2-1/9/13 yet. This is a surprise for my wife's 40th birthday! What should I do?

We had 3 of us the day the reservations posted, all on different computers, trying for reservations for any day of our trip, 1/12-1/19. one of the three of us managed to get in... 4:30 pm, not the best time, but I will take it! the other 2 couldn't get one, for the whole week.
We have called a few times just to see if there were later times, and I swear, the agents giggled, and told us, there is really no reservations. You should just accept 4:30..so we did.
Sorry everyone who did not get one, I hope eventually things lighten up, and you get a chance

Keep checking for a cancellation. That is all you can do, since the transfer or trade of restaurant reservations is not permitted.

Likely there is no option to eat dinner there without a reservation, but lunch does not require a reservation, line lengths are estimated usually at about 25 to 30 minutes, and besides the menu there is no difference between the two except that there is no photo op with the Beast at lunch. There is no "show" unless you count the special effects in the West Wing and the snow in the ballroom.

I had tried forever for a dinner ressie as well and have gave up and going to try lunch instead.:thumbsup2

At 1:45pm EST I will be canceling a BOG ADR for 2/5 6:30pm for 4 guests.

I hope a DISer can get my canceled ADR!

Seriously, don't give up!
We are fog 25 Feb-3 Mar and I figured no hope.
I kept checking, and checking again when finally a dinner reservation popped up!
So, it is definitely not hopeless
LOL, I do have an alarm set for 180 days in Sept:)
