Finally got lunch reservations for October. We are on the dining plan. What is the best food choice? For adults can they get alcohol with lunch as part of the plan?
Also, how much ahead should you use the mobile ordering app to place food order.
thanks !:duck:

For BOG lunch, you can "order ahead" on your computer, up to 30 days before your reservation. It is not "mobile order". Highly recommend ordering ahead, as it makes your arrival to BOG so much easier!

My husband loves the roast beef sandwich and I enjoy the turkey one, but go on the Disney webpage and look at the menu and see if anything else appeals more to you. Lunch drinks are the typical fountain drinks & sodas, I don't believe an alcohol beverage is an option.

I was told you do get an alcoholic beverage as well with the dining plan?

That is correct. Even when you preorder online you have a chance to update your order when you check in. You can choose your alcoholic drink then if you like.

My favorite lunch item is the French Dip sandwich.

Up until relatively recently you couldn't get alcohol in Magic Kingdom, especially not on the dinning plan. Now you can and all table service meals include an alcoholic beverage. So yes you can get one included in your dinning plan for Lunch/Dinner

I have only ever been there for early morning breakfast but I would most certainly order ahead if possible. Breakfast time when we are there isn't very busy and its still a bit of chaos when trying to get everyone's order in at the kiosks.

My sister enjoys the French Dip.
I enjoy the grilled ham and cheese sandwich that I cannot spell lol.

Yes adults can order an alcoholic drink (when ordering it will indicate that alcoholic drinks are not included but just ignore that. Its old info. when you arrive you will not be charged extra).

You do not mobile order for BOG.
You preorder which is different.
You'll do so on the website by clicking the preorder link next to your BOG reservation.
This can be done starting 30 days prior up to 5 minutes prior to check in.
I suggest doing it as soon as you know what you want to eat.
I have heard that some have had issues and then end up not being able to preorder. I have never had such issues but just in case I usually do it 2 weeks prior so that if an issue does come up I have time for it to fix itself or for me to call Disney. You don't want to be standing on the right side of the bridge waiting to order from a kiosk because you didn't get to preorder.

That was my favorite sandwich as well but it's no longer on the menu 😭 With that gone and the braised pork changed to chicken, I've been considering dropping our ADR as nothing else really looks good. Maybe the Croque Monsieur? 🤔

The French Dip is the only roast beef sandwich I've ever seen on the menu in the last 3 years, was there something else before? It's good.
The chicken and pork are prepared the same way. The chicken was just as good IMO.
The seared tuna salad is a nice dish as well.
If you have a DP it's the best bang and best CS meal you will have at MK.
I mean Harbor House (Long John Silvers) hockey puck hamburgers, bad flat breads and Pecos Bill are your other options. meh

I don't think it was the same thing because I seem to remember it actually being called a roast beef sandwich but I could be wrong. 2016 was the last time we ate there. I don't like whatever sauce or juice or whatever it is on French dip sandwiches so I probably wouldn't have ordered it 🤷‍♀️

ETA: found my pic of it IMG_20160816_132321651.jpg

We were there in July. We always get the French Dip. We both got a $14 glass of wine with lunch as part of the dining plan. I hadn’t ordered one since I don’t drink wine, but the CM when we were paying for our pre-order even pointed out that I might as well get the wine since it’s part of the dining plan and just give it to my husband :)

used to have a much better roast beef sandwich. It was replaced by the French dip.

We typically eat lunch there twice per trip and love the atmosphere. I agree with @MinnieWebster that it is so beneficial to preorder using the app/website. Otherwise, I’ve noticed the kiosk lines can get very long.

I always loved the braised pork dish and knew it switched to chicken before we arrived there a few weeks ago so figured I’d try it anyways. Just my opinion....I didn’t really care for it. I missed ‘fall-apart’ meat and it wasn’t nearly as flavorful. I ended up switching my second lunch there via the app to the French dip sandwich instead of the braised chicken again. The sandwich was so much better! Again, just my opinion. I love chicken in general but it was thin and I definitely needed a knife to cut through it. The chicken’s taste was bland too.

Also if you’d like you can preorder a cupcake and use it as a snack credit if you wish. At the podium before you’re seated they’ll ask if you want to use a snack credit for the cupcake.

As for alcoholic drinks, we’ve preordered the schoffenhoffer (I think I misspelled that) which is a grapefruit beer (very refreshing and light), sangria, and Kronenbourg (again probably misspelled) which was a really good lager. Loved all of these drinks!!

Our kids love and consistently get either the croque monsieur or the French dip.
