Which do you prefer: Breakfast or Dinner at BOG? And why?

Also, does BOG have characters during breakfast and lunch?

The Beast is only there at dinner.
We had bkfast, lunch and dinner there during our trip in Oct.
Loved dinner.
Lunch was good- nice break in the day.
Bkfast was a PPO ADR. We got to walk up a quiet Main St. and take pics. After bkfast, we got to ride 7DMT two times before everyone else got up there.

Have fun!

We had lunch there in 2014 and thought it was one of the best meals we've ever had in the parks -- and even compared to cruise ship food. The gray stuff cupcake is amazing (we ended up getting a second one to split). The best is only there at dinner (darn), but we got to walk around in all the rooms and take pictures. Really thought it was impressive.

We ate all three meal there over our trip last fall. Dinner was by far our favorite. The food was good, we met the Beast after eating, and the environment was not too loud. Going back for breakfast and lunch it was much louder with more commotion. The food was good at those meals but the dinner was better IMO. I loved the Strawberry Cupcake the best. Gray stuff was fun, but not as yummy to me. The lemon cupcake was disappointing to me, too sweet and not enough sour. We would consider going back for any meal, but would prefer dinner.

The dinner menu doesn't appeal to me, but I had breakfast and lunch there last August.

We (DD and I) were on the QSDP, so both meals were covered. Lunch would have been about $52 if we had paid out of pocket, and it was 1, delicious (especially the roast beef sandwich and the French onion soup), and 2, WAY too much food! She and I both got soup instead of dessert and sandwiches and soft drinks. We enjoyed it a TON (once we found seats, as we were at the tail end of lunch and it was busy in there).

Breakfast we had a 8am when the park opened at 9am. Next time, I'll take an Uber over rather than us the bus from Pop if it's that early. We were at the bus stop so early, as we wanted to make sure we got there with plenty of time to spare.

I was feeling awful that morning (had a whole chocolate dipped rice krispie treat from Goofy's the night before) so she ordered and I just picked a bite or two off her plate. She got the open faced egg sandwich. They also served a whole plate of pastries (they serve the same amount whether it's for one or two people eating). We still ended up taking a to go box for the pastries, as she only ate one of them. It's a ton of food when you add in the pastries. Otherwise, it's a nice portion. I'd love to see them serve a potato dish alongside, since the price is quite high for breakfast. The pastries were just over the top too much I think! Like it would be a nice option - not everyone loves sweets early in the morning! I certainly wasn't up for them! My own fault - serves me right!

I have lunch booked twice for our next trip in late August and breakfast once. We are hoping for free dining and are booked at Pop already!

I would choose dinner. The food was good and getting pics with the Beast was really neat. Breakfast is okay and we are eating it again on this upcoming trip only because we were able to get a reservation for before the park opens...otherwise, I think it is expensive for breakfast for what you actually get.

Can someone give me an estimated amount of time that you will be spend at BOG for dinner?
We did breakfast there last time, would like to do dinner next (If I can snag a reservation this time), but not if it will take 2 hours of our day

45-90 minutes. More dependent on you.

I would go with dinner. The breakfast was very underwhelming to me and I really only used it for a jump start on the 7DMT line, to be honest. Have done dinner there twice and once was not great and the other time food was really good. All things considered equal (food quality wise), I would still opt for dinner because it's TS. I generally avoid QS because I'm not a huge fan of the finding your own table thing, although at least with BOG you don't have to worry about schlepping your food while you search for the table, so it's not quite as bad. But still, I would still go for dinner over breakfast.

The dinner is my FAVORITE meal in all of DW! I was unimpressed with the breakfast. It didn't feel nearly as magical (especially compared to some other MK breakfasts) and the food is far superior (IMO) for dinner, and at dinner you get to meet the beast!

Dinner is really good. We like the choices, feel the prices are fair and of course the ambience is fantastic!!

We've eaten all three multiple times, and lunch is by far our favorite, followed by breakfast. The food at dinner has consistently disappointed us, and we've tried multiple dishes. But everyone has their own likes and dislikes...

I'd say dinner, as other people mentioned, it's about the same price as breakfast.
I've been twice for dinner, I've sampled off my husband's plate too, the food was good.
Last time we went, I just ordered a French Onion Soup and dessert (lemon cupcake, yum).

Is the French onion soup really good? I am thinking about ordering that and a salad instead of a meal when we go.

I liked it. It's pretty similar to Les Chefs de France, but not as large a portion.

I didn't like the salad because of their signature dressing (bleh), which is why I ordered soup this last time, I tried the salad the first time I went.

I like the french onion soup just fine at BOG, but I personally think Les Chefs de France is a much superior soup. For me, it has a richer, fuller flavor. :lovestruc

I think, but don't overcommit me on this because I'm not in either kitchen, it's because Chefs uses a beef broth (traditional) and Bog uses a vegetable broth (as their FOS is a "vegetarian option."

Most people I have spoken with prefer the dinner food over the breakfast food. But I appreciate the quick service breakfast option of a PPO reservation. Our family has never done a MK morning after rope drop! Now that we can book BOG as our pre-park reservation, we'll do it every time. Saves TS dining credits for us!

I absolutely love Les Chef de France's French onion soup. Probably the best thing I ate that trip!
