I was able to get a reservation at Be Our Guest at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2016. The reservation system said that I need to have tickets to the hard ticket event.

I made the reservation.

After doing some searching, it looks like others have dined at BOG, but need to leave the park after dinner. I'm fine with that, as I don't really want / need to attend MVMCP. However, some of the posts I read are a few years old.

What are your experiences with this situation? Will Disney honor the reservation?

Any information is appreciated.

If it says you need a ticket, you need a ticket. They have changed the times this year you can dine at without a ticket.

You will not be able to dine at BOG unless everyone in your group has MVMCP tickets.

On the front page of the BOG dining reservation page for November 11 it shows two specific dinner times: Dinner 4:00 - 6:15 and Dinner 6:20 - 10:00, Special Ticketed Event so any reservation starting at 6:20 requires party tickets. It will reiterate the hard ticket requirement further along in the reservation process and usually on your confirmation email.

Until last year the Table Service restaurants were allowing non-party goers to make reservations until 6:55, but this year the cut off time is earlier and varies with the restaurant. Since it is mentioned multiple times in the reservation process I would expect hosts/hostesses at the restaurant to be firm about the party ticket requirement.

Got it, thanks. I'll cancel the reservation. MK is not open very late when we are there due to MVMCP. It's even harder to score a BOG reservation.

Warning to anyone making a reservation on a party night even by phone. I Booked Be Our Guest yesterday (my 180 day at 7am)via phone for Dec 16 . Got a 7pm reservation . I was so excited!
Cast member said nothing about needing a ticket to dine at the time due to party. Saw this post on DIS and called back today. Can't kept reservation without party tickets, it is true! I was really upset because cast member never said anything and there was nothing in writing on reservation. I made this reservation at 180 mark and If it wasn't for DIS I would of not found out until we showed up for dinner in Dec. After speaking with a manager and getting alittle nasty (manager first said there was nothing he could do)they did find a 5:35 reservation but this could of turned out very bad.
Thanks DIS boards and thank goodness I am addicted to DIS and check it everyday!
Please share with others , if it happen to me it proubly is happening to others.

Actually, its only two days in the entire week I'm there where they aren't doing the parties, and these aren't days I've been originally planning to be at MK, so its not like I can just go "any other night" when the party is on the schedule for most nights, and other plans with ADRS are scheduled for these days. But regardless, yes, its my problem, not anyone elses, and shame on me for not being aware and assuming it was business as usual at the Magic Kingdom

The real problem, again, is that you simply can't get BOG dinner (or lunch for the matter)for any of these rare "non party" times. And yes, I've been trying since I got to 180 days out, starting 2-3 weeks ago, every day, multiple times each day. As a guy who only gets to come out once every five years or so, sue me for wanting to experience the place ONCE in my life for Pete's sake

I understand your frustration, but the complaining is really unbecoming...it's a tough reservation to get. That's it. I'm sorry you have to lose your reservation or buy a party ticket, but that's how the holiday season is at the Magic Kingdom.

Keep checking and you may still find a BOG ADR that meets your dates. I am going the week after Thanksgiving too (though no desire to go to BOG). We actually have both of our MK days planned as party days as we are hoping for lower crowds. (Many people avoid party days as the parks close early. Non-party days are more crowded.) Good luck with your ADRs. (I got all mine but one and still hunting for it but figure it will happen before we go.)

Thank you for the kind encouragement. Certainly not giving up! It's GOT to pop up for an eligible time at some point in the next five and a half months...
