Be My Guest Disney Dining Review-New Updates Pop Century FC & Sanaa

I am behind on my report, as I decided Friday to jump on a plane and go to my beloved Disneyland. I will be sure and share some of that goodness on here are well!!
:woohoo: Love DLR! And can't wait to hear about your DLR dining! I just booked our plane tickets for a trip there in January for DD's birthday. :woohoo:

Wow - I always read such great reviews for Biergarten. It has never really appealed to me, but I obviously need to give it a try because reliable diners all enjoy it. ;)

Sorry about BoG. :( As you will eventually see in my DR, our experience was in the same vein. So disappointing!

We had a very similar experience at BOG in July. We tired the ratatouille, the chicken dish, and the salmon and none of it was very good. There was nothing to the ratatouille dish just a few veggies and rice very disappointing for the amount of money it costs, I did not care for the sauce that was on the chicken and you got very few potatoes with it, and the salmon was very not flavorful at all. My brother also got the kids turkey meatloaf with 2 pieces of broccoli and it was smaller then a can of coke. We all got different desserts to try since by that time we determined we were not going back for awhile and they were actually pretty good not the best desserts but they were probably the best part of the meal lol. Overall we were not impressed with the food. However the ambience was amazing we loved the different themed rooms and seeing the Beast at the end was great (Belle being there would have made it even better).

I agree the atmosphere was beautiful but that was it, oh I loved the French beer :rotfl2:

The next day we decided to give the Sci Fi Diner another try. I went with a friend the year prior and we enjoyed it. My hubby had not been since 2008. We normally eat at PT 50's but I wanted something from the norm. We were seated behind a family in one of the cute little cars. I love their ambiance and the old movies, Disney theming on this place is just incredible. We both ordered the burger and fries and they were excellent. However I was soooo hungry I didn't take a picture, just dug right in. Oh well :rotfl: No room for dessert here, but their burgers have improved since we ate there for the first time in 08.

That evening the club level offerings were the best out of all the nights. I loved the gazpacho, olives, chicken skewers. Also the unlimited wine :cool1:

They also had this in our room that evening!! What a nice surprise. Since my DH does not drink champagne I brought it back home. Still in the fridge so if anyone wants to join me in sharing the bottle come on over!

Good report so far, keep it coming. We were just there in September at BC CL and you are bringing it all back to me. We also ate at Biergarten for lunch, always a favorite. We did OOP this time too, and we actually saved quite a bit over purchasing the dining plan. Can't wait to see some more of your report:)

Sorry I have updated in a while, we found out this past week we are expecting our first baby and I am 5 weeks along. I was wondering why reading all these dining reports were making me extra hungry :rotfl2: I was so happy I was able to go to Disneyland last month on a solo venture for the weekend one last time :lmao: However I am so excited for the future and of course awesome future disney trips. Now back to my report for lunch the next day we did a walk up right at 11:30 for lunch for my beloved Yak and Yeti. This place has never ever failed me and this time it was just as excellent as the past. We always get the same thing, I get the seafood curry and my DH gets the ribs with double rice, as he hates coleslaw. The seafood curry is the perfect blend of spice, and the seafood isn't overwhelming at all. The ribs are among some of the best we have ever had. We did not have room for wontons this time, however I can't wait to return.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What exciting news!!! pixiedust:

And, of course, thanks for the review as well. That seafood curry is absolutely what I would order if we ever managed to eat at Y&Y. :thumbsup2

Thank you Brenda! Also thank you again for being apart of my last solo Disney adventure :) Btw I have next years trip at the end of September booked for 6 nights at the BC CL with the regular dining plan. Now I have two events to look forward to for next year. However I am going to miss my Disney till then, but will live through you all on the boards.

I didn't even know you were doing a review Lori!! I will go back and read but wanted to say Congratulations!! Wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy!!

Glad you found my review, and also thank you. I am super excited

Following along in your review. That seafood curry looks amazing! I'm thinking that's what I will be getting in January.

I'm kinda sad to hear about BOG as my kids are so looking forward to eating there. From what I've read its almost like a QS meal with TS prices.

Lastly, CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming prince or princess! Its always such an exciting time to find out this type of news and right before the holidays too.

Can't wait to read more.

I'm all caught up with your reviews! First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Such exciting news! Wishing you all the best. :goodvibes

I am right there with you on the lukewarm feelings towards BOG. I was really disappointed. Reading your review made me realize that the seating is so close together and that would be extra crummy during dinner. I don't mind the open, close seating at a CS location, but I expect more for a nice sit down dinner. They should have thought that through a little better during planning.

Just started reading your review.... A little disappointed with your BOG review. Also, congrats on your pregnancy.

I think the CS might be the way to go there. Also thank you for the congrats :)

I wish I had a better review for BOG. Actually just read a postive review just now on here for the place so you never know. :)

I wanted to share with you all my food and wine pictures and experiences from our trip. I love the food and wine festival and it what I look forward to every year. This was my fifth festival and my husband's second. What I love about coming before the festival actually begins is they normally do a soft opening prior to the official opening. Last year it was two days prior this year only one. Oh well you take what you get. Also the weekends are insane for this event, so if you want to go please go during the week, as the weekend is literally cheek to cheek as the evening approaches :) My favorite this year was the spicey tuna handroll in Japan. I had it more than once and it was the perfect blend of spice. It also goes well with Kirin on draft :goodvibes

My other favorite thing to try is the lobster roll at the America booth. It is such perfection in a buttery roll!! I also had this more than once.

The Grey Goose Cosmo Slushie is France was a first for me and it was quiet good. Very strong so the bang for the buck was there and then some :rotfl:

The Kailua Pork Sandwich in Hawaii is quite nice. It has pineapple and a nice sweet mayo to top it. I also tried the aulani sunrise cocktail that was good, but for the price you didn't get a whole lot.

The escargot in France was a nice item for me to try. Never had them in my life, but for 5 bucks I figured what do I have to lose?? I liked them, not loved them but glad I tried it once.

We also tried what I call a Morrocan Egg Roll, it was spicey and had corn in it. It again was good but would not rush back to try it.

For the eat to the beat concert we saw Mickey Thompson and Starship, they were amazing!! Really enjoyed it along with the Angry Orchard Cider they have in the America Beer Booth.
