Greetings my fellow Disney Food Lovers. My name is Lori and I am so excited to share our dining experiences from our September trip. This was my 5th year in a row for the Food and Wine Festival and first time staying CL at a Disney resort. This trip we were not on the dining plan, which had it's pros and cons. What I love about the dining plan is it's prepaid and pretty much you can have whatever you want on the menu. The downside is you start looking at some of the menu prices and it's highway robbery. So lesson learned stick with the dining plan ;);) We stayed 5 nights at the BC and had to stay 1 night at POP as we didn't make our flight for leaving. To start off the report when we arrived at the BC, we weren't really that hungry so we just had a few of those awesome chips they have in the lounge. Good grief those are good with the dip. Of course they told us we could have as much wine and beer as we would like :) So instead of eating lunch we started indulging in wine and beer up at the CL. The even told us to take as much as we wanted to our room. Now we aren't lushes but hey it's the start of your vacay so why not!!

I'm first! I'm first!:cool1::yay::cheer2:

Darn it! I had a whole reply and it went Poof!

Anyway, to sum up, I've seen many of your contributions to the live thread and I'm happy to be following along!
I LOVE BC CL. Stayed there a couple times, once on the CL.
I miss F&W. This is the second year in a row we haven't gone, but I enjoyed the food booths at F&G when I did a solo trip last May!

I have a very special Mommy and Me trip coming up in 36 days with DD7, but I just noticed my ticker isn't updating...weird...It still says I have almost two months!

How exciting to have a trip coming up so fast! I did a solo trip in May as well and loved all the booths at the F&G festival. It was a nice addition to an already great event.

For dinner our first night we went to an old favorite the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The last time we dined here we had the worst server on the planet. This time around the service was much better and the food was out of this world good. I started off with the lobster bisque. It had a nice spice to it and plenty of lobster. I have to say it was the best bisque I have ever had. For our entrees my DH had the filet and I had the new york strip. Both of them were heaven on a plate. I could not finish my steak it was huge! I hated to leave that delicious piece behind but physically I could not do it. Therefore dessert was out of the question :rotfl: Our view was of Stormalong Bay and our first meal was a great way to start off our trip. Dining plan or no dining plan this place is worthy of at least trying once in your life

Great start - we loved BC (didn't get to do CL though :) ) and would return in a heartbeat if we could afford to. YS was our favourite meal of the trip too - looking forward to more :goodvibes:

Hi Lori! I'm joining in.

Your YSH from before is why I went ahead and booked. Although I definitely didn't want the server you had last time. (Another Diser recently had a horrible service issue at YSH and I asked if it was the older blonde lady and it was. :scared1:) Anyway, sounds like this was a better experience.

I had that twice baked potato last time and it was really good!

Ha ha ha! I'm picturing guests stocking their room fridge with bottles of beer so they don't have to go to the lounge so often since the CM's insist. I love the evening choices in the lounge. I believe the YC and BC lounges serve the same things.

I'm in!!!

Holy cow - I'm not sure I would need any ADRs with CL! How fun!!!!

So happy to read your Yachtsman review - I wish we had had a good service experience there. I think I would feel so much more positive about the place since the food was delicious.

I'm looking forward to this review. F&W this weekend for us and then on to next month our 4 night DDXP to celebrate our Grandbaby boy's first birthday in the most magical place on earth! :) Yachtman's is in the list:cool1:

Yay! Can't wait to hear more! We're staying BC CL for the first time in November (first time CL anywhere). Did you enjoy it? Love all your dining reviews!

She must be! I've seen a recent review where she was a server for Kylie (Klacey1) YSH review. She charged Jeri extra to sub a side that was included with another entree.

I'm glad to hear this!!! ;) I hope you are enjoying your time!

The next day we had breakfast in the club level which consisted of carb loaded items and boiled eggs. It's nice to have the option but more protein would be much appreciated. Anyway we decided to go to an old favorite Biergarten for lunch. I have to say for the price the lunch buffet at Biergarten is one of the best deals in all of WDW. The selection of salads, meats, and desserts is incredible. Their potato salad is my favorite and the pretzel rolls are super yummy.

I love the band, been coming here for 5 years and I swear they never change.

Dinner that evening was at the coveted Be Our Guest. The CL IPO booked this for me back in March. When we arrived we were given a pager and were seated within 10 minutes. We were seated in the main hall and it was lovely and quite romantic. I know its quick service during the day and I can tell as the tables are super close together. Our server was nice, not memorable, but as long as I get decent service that is all I care about. Onto the menu, sigh, all I have to say is blah for me. I looked over at the table next to me and their steak looked like burnt fajita meat :confused3 So our plans to get the steak didn't work out, so my hubby ordered the lamb and I had Frence beer and onion soup. My soup had no flavor and was very disappointing. My husband's lamb chops were good, not great. So we decided not to get dessert as we were afraid to try it. Oh well once was enough. Maybe I will return for lunch one day. The inside of the place is neat though and we toured around and had a picture with the beast.

I'm going to have to try Biergarten! Too many good reviews including yours Lori!

As for BoG, I'm with you. I ordered the soup too and was very disappointed. Lunch may be a better bargain.... not sure if I'll see anytime soon. ;) I like your pink magic band in the photo with the Beast. :)
