I called at 7:00 on the dot for my 180 ADRs + 10. I told the CM that I was exactly 180 days out plus 10 (I was very specific- I have been planning this for weeks). So first off, I asked for CRT and I gave the date of November 14.She said she didn't have anything available that day. So I asked for the 11th and she had a 10:05. She gets my credit card info and then tells me I'm confirmed for September 11th:sad2: . I told I am was booking for November. Well, luckily she had everything I wanted but I wasted 10 minutes or so. I also called back today to confirm with another CM. Just be careful!! Anyways here are my ADRs:

11/9 WCC 6:20PM

11/10 Donald Tusker House 9:30AM
11/10 'Ohana 6:35PM

11/11 Sci-Fi 11:00AM
11/11 LTT 6:45PM & MVMCP

11/12 Biergarten 6:00PM

11/13 'Ohana 9:30AM
11/13 Fantasmic Brown Derby 3:55PM

11/14 CRT 12:00PM (yeah!)
11/14 TBD T-Rex or Wolfgang Puck's

11/15 Crystal Palace 11:30AM

I've run into similar issues before. You always need to pay close attention to the CM when they confirm date and time. Remember these poor folks are dealing with customer after customer making ressies at all those restaurants at all those random dates and times. I'm sure it's very easy to mis-key something by mistake.

So very true. I was on the phone today to get tickets for a sporting event in October. It's pretty important thing for me and the agent had everything ready to go and asked me to hold for just a moment. The transaction hadn't gone through yet but I had great seats. I got cut off.

I was on the cell phone and my house phone rang. It was the agent calling me. She had accidentally hit the wrong button. She was so sorry about it but I told her that if things like this didn't happen, that would mean we are living in The Terminator where everything is run by machines.

EEK!!! I would have freaked!!

The other morning I had a CM who obviously was still asleep and in need of a cup of coffee- he didn't give me a res # and was about to hang up- I had to ask for it- he was really flaky through the whole call and left me feeling like he was screwing stuff up.

To be safe, when I called today to make ADRs I re-confirmed all previous ones I had made- and thank goodness they were all there.

Last May we went for a trip for my Dad's 60th birthday.... We made ADR at the Hoop Dee Doo for the night of his birthday which was the second night of our trip....I paid for the meal in advance on my credit card when I booked the reservation... Mind you there were 7 of us so the charge was very big $$$... Twice we confirmed the date and time... I was told to pick up our tickets at the front desk of our resort..When I went to do that I was told that the tickets were not good for that night... The date on the tickets were for two days BEFORE we arrived... The CM clearly put the wrong information into the computer... Why would I buy tickets for a night when we were not even there! Anyway, I was given a refund because the dinner was booked for that night and our plans were set for the rest of the week... This made me so upset... I really wanted that experience for my Dad and the family.... The CM helping me asked me where else we would want to eat for that night... Of course everything we wanted (in place of the HDD) was booked because of the SHORT notice... Needless to say, Dad did not have the special birthday meal we hoped for.

This happened our last trip. I made reservations for Chef Mickey's for Breakfast for the morning after we arrived. I called a couple of days before leaving just to verify all my adrs...and they had made chef mickeys for the day of arrival..8AM..we weren't even getting into FL till 11AM...I never would of made that adr. Nothing they could do..totally booked at that point.

May I ask a slightly off topic ADR question to avoid posting a separate thread??

I leave in 3 weeks and made my ADR's months ago. I JUST found out about TGM, and would really like to use his service, but I'm so afraid I'll find that my park picks are all wrong when it's too late to change ADR's.

So my question is: if I am persistent in calling, and don't at all mind late dining, will I have a terrible time trying to change ADR's for a group of 4 in early June??

We currently have:
Boma 7:30am, so we could keep that and go to any park
Crystal Palace 7:50pm, which was mostly just for me, kids are past characters
Prime Time Cafe 7:30 pm

Having typed that, I feel a bit silly. Surely I could get 2 comparable ADR's if I really try?
