Be careful when calling in to see if you have a pin..

I called in to book my package with a 35% off room only at the Contemporary on December 30th. So, as it turned out, I had 2 pin codes, the second one had just been added and he did not know what it was, but that it was "best". I booked it even though the math did not add up to what I thought it was supposed to be. Later when I called to make a few changes, I was informed on that phone call that I was using a 40% off my room stay, but he could not give me the dates of offer. I still did the math and it did not seem like it was right. Come to find out today when I finally got the email, my last night is excluded, and I am paying rack rate for my room on our last night.

Needless to say, I will be checking out that morning and moving to an offsite location for our last night, as we can still use our meals on that day anyway. I say all this to say that I would have thought we had the 40% off our entire stay because that's what they told me I had... I knew I had lost $200 somewhere!!! I will save the room cost $501-$100 (off site room)= $400 plus a day of DxDP for 5 people. Considering we will just lay down and sleep here before we leave the next morning, I am happy I was picky about what I thought did not add up... This is a better plan anyway.

Yeah I think that new PIN does not carry over to all the dates of your vacation. Only the dates that are actually within the PIN code dates apply. This is different from the free dining promotion.

Same thing happened with us. I had a PIN for 30% off moderate and called to book. The day I wanted to arrive was unavailable under our PIN so I said ok how about the next day. When I hung up I thought the change had made it possible to have our entire stay covered under PIN. Well the figures didn't add up so I called and they gave me 35% off the first 3 days and I'm paying rack rate for the last two dates because they aren't covered. Since my PIN was 30% I asked him if he had the correct PIN (thinking maybe there was more than 1 PIN next to my name) and his reply was "well what PIN did you get?". I told him 30% off a moderate and he said yes that's what they were using!(?).

So if you can't find your pin code you call in and it is listed under your account info? Wow, that is great! I know I have received a few recently and wish I held on to them. I'll call tomorrow!

So did you book a package or a room only ressie? I believe when booked as a package, your discount applies for your whole stay. If booked as room only, the rates can vary on different nights of your stay.

Interesting! It seems like I am only saving half of what I should be with this pin. I called and the reassured me the discount was applied to my whole stay. My issue is that I didn't get the pin in the mail, I just called and there was one next to my name. They are being such pains though about it, they won't give me the pin or the terms of it. They aren't really telling me anything except that the value room rate with discount is $61.75.

I called CRO a few days ago and was told there was a pin attached to my name. I asked which dates it covered and how much off. CM would only "answer" back with a question; "well, what dates are you looking to travel?" Yay. A question with a question. I love those. I kept saying it would be better if I understood the pin so I could make the best possible arrangements for us. He kept asking me for dates. I gave up and called back. The second CM kept doing the same thing...however FINALLY went over the details of dates grudingly.

BTW; Discount only applies to certain dates covered under the pin, whether it be room only or package...not the length of stay like FD. If your trip extends beyond the covered pin dates, you will be charged rack rate for the additional nights. That is the reason I was adamant about knowing the dates prior to booking.
