Be careful when adding free dining to existing reservations

I called Disney Travel yesterday and very quickly & easily added the free dining to my existing reservation at Pop Century. I was thrilled - for a while...

I was a little suspicious when the CM didn't ask me any questions - not even whether I had a Disney Visa. So I checked my reservation online throughout the day, but the dining plan never showed. I called this morning to verify that all was ok and the new CM said he didn't see anything on my reservation that indicated I'd added the Dining Plan. :scared1: In order for me to get it now, I'd have to upgrade to a preferred room at POP (not interested) or move over to AS Sports or Music. I chose AS Music, but not happily (I've since checked out the reviews on AS Music and it seems very nice, so I'm relieved about that).

So be very careful when adding free dining to your existing reservations! :goodvibes
 
I have already booked my september package this past february for a preferred location at AS Sports, so hopefully we can just modify the dining part and keep the same room. That is probably what they will do anyways. We always book preferred- worth the extra cost to me.
 
if you go online and check now does it show the dining plan? I know quite a few people that added it to their ressies so I want to make sure all is good
 
I know disney is experiencing with their website right now- it is running terribly slow.....
 

Thanks for the info. I'm glad I didn't make my ressies yet but I will be on the phone first thing tomorrow morning.
 
I was just wondering if it is still only open to Visa Cardholders or can anyone call and get the free DDP? I was under the impression that the general public would not be able to book until tomorrow 04/12/07? Any information would be greatly appreciated?

I checked a half hour ago: my reservation reflects the new resort, but still no dining. I called Disney Travel again and was able to verify that the dining was included on my reservation. The CM said that resort changes show up online quickly, everything else takes more time. I was told to check again later this afternoon.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and waiting... :hourglass
 
I made ressies back in Feb at POP with paid dining and our online ressies do not show dining. But the total due sure relects it.
 
I booked Monday morning and even called to confirm on Tuesday, yet nothing shows up online at all....it comes up with "sorry, cannot be found".

Anyone else have this problem?
 
According to the CM who booked my free dining ressies, the initial letter on your confirmation number designates the free dining. It doesn't appear on the ressie otherwise. My confimation number started with a K.
And I was only on hold for 1 hour and 11 minutes first thing Monday morning:eek: . Acckkkk!!

I still have the reservation number that was assigned when I made the original reservation back in March (no letters in it). Each time I called, the CM asked me if I had booked the original reservation online (which I had). I wonder why it makes a difference? :confused3

I just checked my reservation online again - still no dining plan showing. I'm afraid that if another mistake was made, I won't be able to get free dining tomorrow because the offer will be available to the general public. I guess I should call them again, just in case. Wish me luck! ;)
 
We made reservations back in Feb. It included the dining plan. When we called Mon to change to free dining we kept our same reservation #. Did not add a letter to it or anything. It also was not showing up on reservation online. In fact it wasn't even showing a dining plan at all. So I also called and spoke with a very nice CM. She assured me that we had the free dining plan with Disney Visa Card. I guess I worry to much when it comes to Disney:confused:

I also received a K confirmation #. I check online and it shows all totals, tickets and hotel, but nothing about the dining plan. I was a little concerned and was going to call tomorrow to check...lmao...good luck right? I picked a bad day to call and check ;-)

I have this problem as well. I even called Disney yesterday to double check that my ressie existed. All was fine, but I will rest much easier once I have a hard copy in front of me:rotfl: .
