Be careful driving to HH and WDW this summer

Many states including mine have banned these so call safety cameras due to the fact that they are most often put in as a money maker under the gise of safety. Some communitites have even removed them after installing them after it was discovered they had placed them at high use intersection and not high accident intersections. One community was caught cutting the length of the yellow light time just to catch more offenders and thus generate more money....smjj

I'll admit it, I am a fast driver, but a careful driver. On the highway I will set the cruise at 9mph over the posted limited. If you are in the passing lane and not passing i will flash you to move over and get po'd if you do not. Poor drivers that "park" in the passing lane and end up "pulling the train" as I like to call it, are a bigger hazard then am I. I'm not the fastest guy out there and generally i drive with the flow of the faster traffic.

If you're speeding, flashing your lights at people and "getting po'd" then you're the poor driver – not the person in front of you.

If you want to speed, fine -- I'm not one of these people who gets excited about what someone else is doing. But if you're going to get aggressive at people for obeying the law, you've got issues.

and not be passing.

The operator of a motor vehicle shall drive in the outer and center traffic lanes in the designated direction for traffic, except when lawfully crossing from one lane to another. The operator of a motor vehicle shall use the inner traffic lanes for passing only.

A passing lane is often colloquially referred to as a fast lane because it is often used for extended periods of time for through traffic or fast traffic. In theory, a passing lane should be used only for passing, thus allowing, even on a road with only two lanes in each direction, motorists to travel at their own pace. Good driving practice is to slip out of the passing lane once slower cars have been passed.

Those in glass houses should not throw stones.

Why is it so many people think they only have to obey laws they want to? If the speed limit is 70 then obey it or pay the price. People need to take responsibility for their actions and not blame someone else if they get a tickets for speeding, remember YOU HAD A CHOICE at what speed to drive! I drive everyday for my job and it seems like almost everyone on the road just drives any way they want speeding, rolling through stop signs etc. Laws are made to protect everyone.

FYI, Speed limits are legally supposed to be reviewed regarding average speed on a roadway. They rarely are. Lower limits were established to save gas and not a function of safety or to save lives.

I missed the part where it says the passing lane is supposed to be used by speeders to flash their lights at people driving at lawful speeds. But I've never gotten four tickets on one trip, so clearly you have a little more insight on this than most people. ;)
