Hi we r booked in a 2br at the beach club end of sept. Was wondering if anyone who has stayed before could tell me an ideal room location to request? This is our 1st time staying here! Thanks!!

There really isn't anything at this small resort that would lead me to request a particular villa. Just decide what is important to you (high floor? near elevator? near parking lot? whatever) and request that.

At BCV, the only request we ever make is "near the elevators".

Last month, upon arrival & checking in at 10:30am, we learned that our room was ready & we were also the first room (2BR lock-off on 3rd floor) immediately off the elevator. Perfect!

ok thanks!
I know I read about the path that takes you up closer on path to Epcot. Wasn't sure if those rooms were DVC villas or not.

The DVC villas are located in a single building behind the BC. So the rooms along the path to Epcot are BC rooms not BCVillas.

None of the view are that great because the villas were built on the old castmember parking lot behind the BC.

The quickest way to Epcot is to walk out of the BCV building, and make your first left. Follow that path around the building, to the right. You will end up on the main walkway to Epcot. This saves time, probably a few minutes. I always found it to be really nice at night coming home from Epcot, when you are tired and carrying a child. However, in the dark it sort of sneaks up on you, often times we walk right past the little gate.

Our last two stays at BCV we were firstly on the woods side, 4th floor, and did have a VERY partial view of the fireworks. From the 5th floor with a wood view, I believe you have a decent view of fireworks. We found ourselves in Epcot most nights for the fireworks, so this view did nothing for us.
Last year we were on the 2nd floor in a 2 BR overlooking to quiet pool. We had a HUGE balcony, it ran the length of all 3 rooms and we loved it. I also thought the ground floor rooms on the pool side would be nice, b/c what you give up in balcony you make up for in convenience of access to the pool. No elevator, just go from your living room into the water!

You will have fun no matter what you end up with. Enjoy.

But since there is no sidewalk from the patio to the pool deck, you really aren't supposed to climb through the shrubbery to get to the pool. Plus you cannot lock your patio door from the outside. You really need to use the main door to the villa, go down the corridor and out to the pool instead of tromping through the bushes.

I was not aware of that. I didn't actually stay in a ground floor room, we just noticed people coming and going from ground floor rooms to and from the quiet pool.

We always request high floor near main elevator. That way we don't have far to walk to get to the Marketplace or as far to get to SAB. We have always enjoyed at least a partial view of Epcot Illuminations. BCV is our home resort and we love it here! Stayed at VWL last time and while it was lovely, my DH wished he was at BCV the whole time. Enjoy!!!

I think we had a great location this June. We had a two bedroom dedicated on the second floor, just above the Little Mermaid statue. Close to the quiet pool, walkway to EPCOT (which was closed) and the hallway was short, and we found it too be very quiet! Room 207-- so I would assume 307 would just be right above and a great location too. Our balcony was three across too!

Will have to remember that room number, as I am sure as you stated above, that all higher floors of the same number would be the similar. Our stay in March 2012 will be in a 2bdrm dedicated. Good info!

I guess everyone's idea of "best room" is different. To us the rooms near the elevator are noisy. We like the rooms in the "jog" about half way down the hall. Turn right as you get off the elevator, and at the ice machine room, turn right again. The rooms down that hall that face the woods are our favorite. We figure that the extra walking helps justify all the food we eat!

Usually not a lot of choice anyway. Some of the upper woods view have some EPCOT views available, its nice to look at and zoom up some pics. But we just say pool view, and sometimes end up with upper woods, the pool view is nice as well. But so few rooms open up each day, its often just 2 rooms to pick from anyway.

These are upper woods, zoomed in but we would take it every time if possible, and way over most DVC resorts views. We knew we were in Disney that's for sure.

I will warn you .... we are spoiled from our two beach club stays. We called at our seven month window the past two summers and can't imagine we will love any WDW resort as much!

We stayed in a 2br last Aug. We were on the second floor overlooking the small courtyard. We also had a huge balcony that spanned all three rooms. It was very quiet and we had a great time. I will be booking it again in two days for our Feb stay!

The only rooms I haven't liked are the ones next to the single elevator. They are adjacent, and it's noisy. Don't think I would like the ground floor rooms with the lattice work right next to the patio either.
