I see some people love BCV and others don't. Is it a fairly good choice for us if we have a 3 and 4 year old?

Thanks,

Deb

Deb... There is plenty to do with the little ones. Storm-A-Long Bay has a kiddie area, with sand, where they would want to spend the whole trip if you let them. Go to the backside of the giant ship wreck water slide. They have a smaller slide going into a shallow pool for the tikes. You can just use a one bedroom villa...since the living room couch folds out into a queen size bed. You let the little ones sleep in the living room, while you and hubby take the king sized bed. Turn on the jacuzzi and toss the little ones in, they'll love the water jets. Minnie Mouse is on hand every morning at Cape May Cafe, along with Chip, Dale & Goofy in a bathing suit. There's plenty to do at BCV with kids. I am sure you will have fun.:bounce:

We LOVED it. My kids were 3 & 7. They loved both the quiet pool and SAB. They loved the boardwalk. The loved the "big tub". My 3 year old was just amazed that he "slept in the kitchen" on the sofabed. We loved walking into Epcot in the early evening after naptime/rest.

You'll probably want to bring a double stroller if you have one (or at least a single if you don't) - while it may be easier to sometimes rent one, it is wonderful to push the kids home from Epcot or even MGM if you're up for the walk.

Can you tell me if the BCV has arranged activities for kids? My kids 4 & 7 liked the activites at OKW and we are staying at BCV in April.

We had a great time at BCV with our 1 and 4 year olds. We are going back in May. SAB is great for young kids. The TV room off the BCV lobby was a big hit with our little ones - the kid size chairs are really cute. 4 year old enjoyed looking for turtles and the alligator (who we never saw). The character breakfast at Cape May Cafe is really good. The transportation/walk to Epcot and MGM is great when you have kids - no busses or cars involved. BCV is great with kids (but then again all the DVC resorts are :)).

Not sure if they have activities for the kids like at OKW in community hall but I do know that they have the Sand Castle Club at the BC for ages 4 and up and that it's designed to give the kids babysitting with activities of some sort while the parents are out and about for an evening. I think the hours start at 4:30pm but again, it's more of a babysitting service I think.
