Any opinion between BCV and BWV? Trying to decide on buying a resale. What are the standard/preferred view at BWV? What are the views at BCV?

We have stayed at both, and enjoyed both. But we purchased at BCV. We love the theme, the closeness to the IG at Epcot and SAB. The BCV's are off to the side of the BC and in my opinion, there are no really "special" views. You are overlooking the Villa pool, a canal (with a Service Road beyond) or the woods.
The BWV's are a slightly longer walk to Epcot, but they are a nice walk to the DHS. I do not know about the Standard View at BWV. We had a Preferred view and we overlooked the quiet pool with the waterway behind. We had a clear view of the Hollywood Hotel (ToT) in the distance. I loved the view.
In general we love the Epcot Resort area.

BCV pluses:

- Stormalong Bay (although I feel it's somewhat overrated - gets crowded easily and isn't a good pool for small children just learing to swim).

BVC downsides:

- No Grand Villas
- Views overall not as good as those at BWV. Many rooms very close to roads.

BWV pluses:

- Best views in the entire time share world from the BW view villas.
- More fun at night than BVC (the Boardwalk action!!!)
- Killer grand villas

BWV downsides:

- Main Pool isn't as fancy as that at BVC (although the slide is great).
- Some don't like the long walks from the elevators (I don't mind them, the BW view villas farthest from them have the best site lines to Illuminations).

I have to agree with all these statements. We own BWV, but rarely stay at a WDW resort. We have stayed at both. Think both have long halls. As stated SAB is the attraction at BVC. If you have older kids and/or teens that would probably be the better choice. If you have small kids or have an empty nest I think BWV is more adult theming with the boardwalk, pubs and sports related outlets.

Both have the best access to WDW. Just a short walk from either. Can't say much more.

Good luck on your choice... I think either will be pleasing.

I think another advantage for BWV is the standard view category. It has great value for the points. Hard to book unless you own or travel off DVC season.

Regular off-season doesn't apply, DVC has it's own unexpected "high seasons"

BWV also has the Community Hall with some games and activities for kids for their rainy days or just when you don't want to do a park.
