Bcv Villas What's The Attraction In Buying

I love the theming and decor of BCV/ my dh loves the location and my ds loves SAB! For us, BCV was the best choice!

BCV is so much more tranquil, even the color scheme is soothing. You cannot beat the proximity to epcot , and after having been spoiled by sab, I was boared at Luna park, although my 7y dd loved the slide.
I just returned from my first stay at BCV and enjoyed it very much, my DVC home is BWV, but I must disagree with your statement regarding how much more tranquil BCV is than BWV. I have stayed many, many times all over BWV and I have never had a room that was anywhere near as noisy as our villa was at BCV. Not only was it much louder from outside noise it was also much louder from inside noise than I have ever experienced in any location at BWV. Don't get me wrong, I like BCV very much and look forward to staying there again and I was in process of purchasing pts at BCV when the new BWV pts were released by Disney a couple months ago, so I just bought more BWV pts because it makes life easier for me to have all my pts at one resort, but I certainly can not say my experience at BCV was it was more tranquil or quiet than BWV.
I also find the color schemes very similar between the resorts with the blues, whites and beach colors. Actually BWV's color scheme for bedspreads and drapes are lighter shades than the deep blue of the BCV's drapes and spreads--which I loved the Little Mermaid characters on BTW. Many of the pictures throughout both resorts are also very similar with pictures of Cape May, NJ and other beach resorts.
I agree with you regarding SAB. Luna park is a very nice pool with a great slide but it can't even begin to compare to the beauty of SAB. I LOVE this pool and this was the driving force that almost made me add on at BCV but in the end the convenience of having all my points at one resort won out.

For us it's that pool. My kids are little and we enjoy lots of "down" time at WDW, and you can't beat SAB. I personally love OKW and VWL, but we'll always be glad to own at BCV because of the pool. I think we'll enjoy Epcot access more when the kids are older.

Yes, we love the pool, Beaches & Cream, walking to Epcot, proximity to the Boardwalk... But mostly we just love the way BCV looks and the atmosphere. I gaze across at BW, or when the bus pulls in to pick people up, I think how glad I am to be staying at BCV instead. That's entirely based on appearance, and it's a good enough reason for me.

The BCVs are beautiful! The lobby is outstanding. I love the Cape May restaurant for their buffets. The location, themeing and pool are givens. I wish I knew how to attach a picture we took out of our bedroom window...it was a unobstructed view Spaceship Earth! Not too shabby! Sandie

I agree TOTALLY with Simba's Mom! I also grew up in New England and didn't care about the theming at the BC, but now that I live in California...!

I like bright colors, like most children do, ha-ha. The WLV was just too dark for me - very tall trees blocking the sun, too much dark wood everywhere; yeah, the lobby is drop-dead gorgeous, but how much time do you really spend in ANY lobby? If Disney is up to snuff, not too much! One breakfast at the WC cafe per trip is enough for me.

And oh, did anyone mention location? ;)

"Could not understand why." BWV WAS NOT FOR SALE!! I think you need to factor in that the BWV has been sold out for years. If they both opened at the same time-yea maybe BWV would sell faster (maybe not actually), but I guarantee the entire BWV would not sell out and THEN someone would start buying into the "cant understand why anyone would buy" BCV Resort. Even if that did happen-IT WOULD STILL SELL OUT because of the reasons mentioned above. Did you actually think BCV would be built, and then everyone would just walk past it and say: "I would buy here if they hadn't built BWV 5 years ago and sold it out." Whats not to understand?

Our home is the BCV and the reason we purchased there is because of the location also, you see we as a family love to have our sweets from France and the thought of just walking out our door for a little walk to Epoct for some pastry said to us, lets do it and call the BCV home! :bounce: :bounce:
